That only means if MVC3 ever happens, they are OBLIGED to give us Deadpool.
Why MvC3, why not just a new Marvel fighting game by Capcom, or ArkSys or SNK even?

Not for nothing but the Marvel licence is WAY too expensive for Arc or SNKP. EA had the fighting game license last and you don’t need me to tell you that they have more money then god (Madden games). Capcom got it when Marvel claimed bankruptcy. Don’t know the future or anything, just that both Marvel and Capcom have expressed desire to make another game but it still isn’t here. However it isn’t as easy nowadays, they can’t just press a button and say ‘let’s make a game.’ Marvel’s licenses are everywhere and there is a lot of red tape to cut through.
Regardless of how much people complain that MVC2 is broken, I like the format enough to not ask for many changes, so I’d be fine with another crossover installment.
Honestly I’d be happy with MVC2 and some newer characters, newer backgrounds, music and another boss. Yes Deadpool is the #1 Marvel character I’d like to see. Dante’s the #1 Capcom character.
Marvel wasn’t really involved in the games back then, I wonder what would happen if they threw their 2 cents in now. Sentry would be broken and occupy 10 spots on the character select screen because they have to ram him down your throat. Spidey’s new win quote would be “I’m not married to MJ!” and his horrible voice actor from Web of Shadows would do the acting chores. Shuma-Gorath would vanish into thin air and Sabretooth would no longer have a head. Rulk would replace Hulk. Kind of scared of a brand spanking new game. Half kidding I guess…
Anything happen between them recently? Or does she still hate him for that beating she took from Copycat?

Haha, oh man… I remember Identity Disc. Identity Diss was more like it. I think Marvel just wanted to try to confuse casual fans when Identity Crisis came out.
BTW, doesn’t DeadPool Classic Vol. 2 TPB come out in Feb.?
