VTYME returning is real, as is Xianghuaâs daughter in SC4.5.
I donât know why youâre hating on Xâs daughter. Will probably play the same with a few new moves just as if X and half the returning, time stuck cast were still there. SC needs actual plot movement cause we havenât seen any of that shit really happen since Soul Blade to Soul Calibur. Along with that, SC hasnât had any interesting new faces since 1 because theyâre too busy trying to add guest characters or characters who could be real returning or new cast but end up being extras.
I do like Tira and Setsuka. But outside of that, new faces that are interesting since SC1 have been nowhere.

Iâll be playing KoF XIII hard. That game is pretty. So is Skullgirls. I think three games is enough for me.
Iâm hating because all we needed was SC2 HD Remix and we would play that for another 6-7 years easily.
Plot movement? SC has a plot? 
The difference between SE-SC1 and SC4-SC5 is that SC1 was a completely different game compared to SE. Even when you looked at returning characters, you realized that they were very, very different from their original versionsâaesthetically and gameplay-wise. Different enough to almost be counted as new characters. SC5, as of right now, looks identical to SC4, aesthetically. The âolder charactersâ look like they have not aged a day since SC4, and their idea of ânew charactersâ is giving the old characters a different character model, making a few movelist tweaks and calling it a day. If they really wanted plot progression, set the setting 100 years in the future where all of the old cast is dead and gone and start from scratch. No remodels.
SC3 was the last new SC. Yeah, we had the same characters, but we had brand new stages, brand new mission/quest mode, introduced create a character (which I fucking hate), major character revamps (Nightmare, especially) etc. The only thing not new about SC3 was the music. 90% of SC3âs music were SC1 songs, and 5% were SC2 songs, but could you blame them? They werenât surpassing that insanely gdlk soundtrack any time soon. SC4/SC4BD should be called SC3.5. Itâs SC3 with better gfx, stripped single player replayability, removed VC glitch, shitty remixed SC3 music (Exhibit A, Exhibit B), and few movelist tweaks. They share a lot of the same stages (Exhibit A (18:25), Exhibit B), as well (Those stages are what the previously linked music goes to. Copypasta all day). And this is what SC5 is looking like to me as of now. It already shares a stage with SC4 (Exhibit A, Exhibit B), and that shared stage was originally a SC3 stage (Exhibit C 11:35). Really? Really?
