That’s their fault for having trouble blocking an 8 year old using characters with terrible mix ups and nearly 20 frame start up normals that happen to have armor on them. Chris G was trolling him all day but somehow nobody else wants to block an 8 year old. There was nothing he was doing that anyone who plays fighting games competitively couldn’t block. The only thing he had going for him was that high damage combos are easy to do. I really don’t understand how he was able to land hits on anyone who had high tiers on their team also.
Viscant didn’t do anything but take advantage of what he should have been taking advantage of. The best shit in a game (good point character, best protective assist, character that wins for you if you feed her). Everyone cried about a character that was basically a concept that they tried to do something about. It was a bit overpowered yeah that was going to happen because making her retarded was the only way they could ensure the concept was competitive until they can do more to adjust. With the nerfs Phoenix is looking at a lot of hard work to stay competitive like AE Seth or people just won’t pick her at all. It also depends on how long level 3 XF lasts now. If that shit isn’t 20 seconds anymore that’s going to hurt also.
2 ECers is not a lot either way and I wouldn’t be surprised if Noel ends up moving to the WC any way. Nerd Josh sounds done with the lackluster east scene also.
Too many beasts to fight in a game where 2/3 matches is looking to pretty much not be viable for determining the better player anymore. You can get killed way too fast where everyone that should have been in top 32 got in top 32 and that already happens enough in SFIV.
who cares about mvc3, I’m just glad the BB and MK top 8 were so godlike, especially BB. Game looks great at the highest level of play, hopefully more people will jump on it, though with the half a dozen games coming out between now and next years evo, it doesn’t look like it will make it as a main tourney anymore. : /
BB was really pretty nice to watch. I was glad I did tune in when I did. I’m sure a lot of it had to do with the fact Hakumen and Litchi had representation. But good shit to LK getting blown up completely again in a evo final.
Otakon was fun, even though I basically missed 80% of EVO streaming. Met some pretty nice players, but one in particular, a pad player; using Wolvie/Task/Tron mainly I believe? Gave me such a rough time. I usually used Joe/Mags/Sent. Tron assist gets me so much.
It’s a bitch because I got my tourney card stolen for one tourney, and missed the Marvel signups one by like, 5 minutes. Not a big deal though, still had fun in casuals. I can’t use stick in Marvel for shit yet, fine in SF with it. Not sure why. (Maybe because I don’t own a damn stick yet)
marvel doesn’t have input shortcuts like sf4 does, so its more difficult to do the inputs (not all that difficulty in reality, but in comparison its noticeable)
I can confirm this as well. I was in the KOF XII and I won my first match…then I fought EMP Mugetsu a.k.a. RougeYoshi wearing his Empire Arcadia jersey. I lost to him.
He used Hyper Drive with Yuri and fucked me up. Just my fucking luck.
In addition, he fought 10 Stars, wearing his EVO jersey, in the finals of the MVC3 tourney. RougeYoshi pulled off Dirt Nap…only to get a Spinning Pile Drived from 10 Stars while X-23 was invisible. Shit is gdlk.
also, I didn’t notice till the end, but they were playing on like a 18 inch monitor for finals at evo. They couldn’t splurge for a 26 inch or something?
Like I said earlier… not this year… next year cause hopefully they will be finished tweaking all these games you guys can really dig the hell in and learn this game. Im proud at how well yall did regardless
