To be honest, that’s fine. But it doesn’t really make sense on why it has to be disc based and still not DLC. I would think making it disc based is wasting more resources/time considering DLC you just finish, send it off for approval and done. But whatever makes Capcom feel justified.

Agreed, I can’t really see how licensing the game to be downloadable is more expensive than shipping hundreds of thousands of copies across the world, with the added risk of pre-release leaks of the game. But whatever, it’s probably because Capcom is so back-asswards that it costs them more, somehow.
I think that the article implies that they were going to originally release [up to 12 new characters and a patch] as DLC soon after the tsunami. And since the tsunami delayed that release, they made more content and decided it was worthy of a disc release.
And I don’t think what they’ve shown is worthy of a new disc release AND I think they would make more money charging for the patch and the characters, but w/e floats their boat . . . gogo playing up tsunami sympathy
I’m hype for ultimate, even though I hated the idea of it when it was leaked months ago. Not hype about lack of dlc version, though.
