The D.M.V. (DC_Maryland_Virginia)

Xfactor in the air… no more chipping phoenix on entry? but no more bullshit phoenix camp? hmmmmmmmmmmm shud b fun

On the other hand, Taskmaster airthrow = make it rain on this bitch TWICE.

Ryu’s got some new moves. A Hadoshoryuken? An invisible Red Fireball that charges and can knock down on hit? I’m at a loss for words.

But, I’m happy Strider and Ghost Rider made it.

Pretty much what every thread on srk looks like right now.

Anybody playing today?

I’m still hoping umvc3 is some sort of really really really awful joke on capcom’s part

I want to play today.

why?

I’ll post up by 4pm if I can come out. Anybody else?

MvC3 was the joke. Ultimate is the troll.

how bad does a game have to be to feel the need to release a balance sequel in the same year?

you mean within 5 months of the launch date? Yeah game is ass!

Strogg wanna play some MvC2 today?

Easy answer- You just answered your own question :stuck_out_tongue:

Serious answer- People cried for it, nobody seems bothered that this doesn’t seem to have a dlc option like ae. ergo- Blame the masses for this move

who the fuck are most of these characters?

the whole point is, the release is just rebalance, ui tweaks for no purpose other than to make you think it’s a bit different, and new characters

if they don’t care about money, this is a patch, with maybe a price tag on the new characters
if they do care about money this is a $15 patch, with $3-5 tags on all 12 new characters

releasing a new disk is a joke

Again, my rants as before. People are spoiled and at the same time are getting their pockets raped. Someone stated during a argument that street fighter/mvc has always done this. I find that incorrect… Never have I seen a series of games release so quick and so close its crazy. Its really becoming fuccin Madden Football like with the releases. Expect if you cry enough or complain enough you will get a patch with some candy (extra characters) to satisfy you until the next bullshyt irks the fuck out of you.

I have all three street fighters gathering dust. I want to get back into it with you guys playing wise but sweet mercy by the time I get comfy with someone or something there will be a patch. Its like taking CvS 2 and saying yeah you learned that nice team well guess what bitches when tweak a lot and we are throwing 2 new awesome grooves in there!! An if you order now you can download some awesome new outfits and items that you will never use to slap on your character!

Ultimate marvel… really? really??

it is beyond frustrating

I wouldn’t let it frustrate me, its business and part of the “game”. Its just one of those things you’ll watch and wonder. I’m just noticing how a fighting game now can’t live a breath for a moment. No one can give a game time to learn the true ins an outs.

The games are now catered to those who are more vocal about their complaints. Look at Sentinel after the first week. Plus they don’t want the FG scene to become “stagnant”. What they call stagnant, we call learning the game at a competitive level which I agree won’t make the most amount of money.

Ivy confirmed in SC5!!

Thank you Namcooooooo! That pretty much confirmed my trip to EVO next year. I have reason to play the game now.

Capcom used to release games around the pace they’re currently showing.

Just off the top of my head:

1995- Street Fighter Alpha, X-Men: COTA, and probably some Vampire Game
1996- Street Fighter Alpha 2, Marvel Super Heroes, and probably another Vampire Game
1997- Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, X-Men v. Street Fighter, Street Fighter III
1998- Street Fighter Alpha 3, MSH v SF, SF3:2I, Super Gem Fighter, Rival Schools

I’m missing at least one Vampire game in there somewhere, and ignoring the revisions to XSF.

They got off this after CvS2 release, but this isn’t new… maybe 9 months on a game is a bit extreme, but let’s not act like this isn’t how it was before.

you know what? if they had a deal with marvel to be allowed to release a game this year . . . it makes sense to abuse it and release 2
