The D.M.V. (DC_Maryland_Virginia)

@ Guns - Sure, you can add me to your tag clan. :). Good video by the way. It’s kinda rare to see HAV without a hat on.

@ Xel - I tried to add you last night but your friend’s list was full.

What else would you be looking for besides matches?

If people drop knowledge or if we can find some priceless moments (like Coma crazy hands or like last night when iNerd was acting out his whole team in Ultimate) then that would be golden. And of course, we have to try to capture the hype.

Just looking for those things that make Xanadu an awesome place for the FGC. Looking for those elements that make us love to go up there week after week, or regret that we missed a chance to go. I feel that if we can share that and make it more public then we can grow the crowd that goes/watches on a regular.

I have already been talking with the management at X. So the more you guys say stuff the better.

Say stuff to mgmt in person? Or just spreading the word about Xanbats?

What do you think of the Xanadu Media Crew idea?

The most obvious thing would probably be to make sure someone is rolling video whenever there’s a high profile match. Grand finals, grudge sets, etc.

So I was wondering if they Mvc3 sets were still on for yesterday? It was supposed to start at 8:00 and I was looking forward to seeing Deviljin 01,Meep, and DJ Huoshen. They’re some of my favorite players to watch.

Everyone you mentioned did play last night, whether in casual or tourney.

Oh really? Was it streamed? I seemed to have missed it.

It was. On the stream chat for Xanadu, once it loads there is a link to http://www.twitch.tv/vgbootcamp

This is the redirect link to the stream.

Nothing’s really changed outside of the fact that this helps the casual kids play others online aka exposure. If the game is great but online is ass, then the game will die casually.

it’s crucial in a marketing sense because most won’t play if there’s no type of online vs. On top of that, it has to actually be good connectionwise and not be skimpy on the options offered. (look at SF4 and Marvel 3’s shitty backwards choices.)

Online play is ok when the connections are excellent. But I will always feel that playing offline (i.e. arcade) made a man out of you.

I never noticed how bad online was until i actually did some practice mode and then tried an online match. Shit is garbage except for people in your area.

pass the juice

Ashley,

I think the idea of a Xanadu Media crew is a great idea. I’m all for it. Ben has been talking to me about how we can improve on the FGC. If you want to take an active part I’d be happy to have your help.

Honestly… if you guys want, we can finish Marvel up completely in the next session.

There are 8 sets left in the Marvel tournament. I had to run it kinda lopsided, due to various no-shows, but meep and Huoshen are already have spots in the top 4 solidified. Just running the rest of the tournament would take away the ability for prep-time, on 5 of the sets left… but it would get the whole thing done with, just as UMvC3 is coming out, so we can just move on to the new shit.

Let me know what people think. If we were to run the remainder of the MvC3 tournament, we’d have to work off-stream for SF4, most liketly.

Let’s finish up next week IMO. No one will watch, or care, about Normal when Ultimate comes out.

Good point.

We can push it to next week, if people are cool with that.

no more hd videos? and whats up wtih coma duckin his father?
