To this day, I still don’t see what mofos saw in the Mortal Kombat series. I was decent in it 1 and 2 but they were just full of stupid to me. Yeah I’m spewing that MK hate.

I liked Myth over Creid. Chrono Cross is the worst game with the best soundtrack.

True about CC, but Chrono Trigger is the best game with the best soundtrack. It balances out.
people are crazy calling CC a bad game. People don’t understand what’s going on in the game and does really bad connecting the piece to CT but the gameplay was good. Still not Xenogears though. I kinda wish he would be at a VGO concert when they’re here in Maryland.
and Koop here’s the Grand Finals between Ross and Jewelman444. Starts around 2:33 in. No idea where the first match that Ross put him into losers in.
I played through Chrono Cross like 5 times and still think it’s subpar. I love Xenogears (RPG with giant robots? of course) but that game required so much reading. There’s no reason why I should read for 20 minutes, switch a disc, then read for 10 more.
Nah, CC is a bad game. It has high aspirations, but it sucks. Decent art direction, shitty character design, shitty delivery on its story. High concepts that all fall flat. I could easily play through Chrono Trigger again and have fun. Chrono Cross? That game aged pretty badly. I don’t think age has done Xenogears any favors, though.
yea disc 2 overall was a letdown because of the backstory after all that happened. Kinda sucks because a lot of the battle stuff introduced in the reading part became irrelevant by the time you started actually playing again. (Yggdrasil turning gundam? Awesome. Use? Not a damn thing.) I still love the game even though it’s extremely text happy. Really dark stuff that Squeenix isn’t going to ever do again.
I can’t find 5 designs I like in Cross. (chrono Lynx and Harley are the only 3 that really grab me.) The story’s there but it is pretty bad in delivery. Wouldn’t understand the connection if someone didn’t explain it to me. I personally had fun with Cross. I just didn’t like how the leveling system goes. There were points in the game I truly felt stuck and ended up doing a new game because I felt I picked up bad characters that couldn’t help me. Don’t get me started on that fucking fight with Chrono’s childhood friend’s dad.
