playing Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath now. It’s a fun ass game  It’s defently worth buying

I picked up a used copy of Super Mario Advance (That’s Super Mario Bros. 2) for $20. I didn’t feel like shelling out $30 for a game that is 3 years old, 4 in June. I know SMB2 is viewed as the black sheep of the series just like Zelda Ii is viewed asthe ugly step child of the series, but this is classic stuff here. And Toad is still top tier material in this game. But no one beats jumping when it comes to Toadstool/Peach. That float is just pwnage. And since when did Birdo learn to speak? Seriously: “This is as far as you go!” “I’ll remember this!” Just shut up, be a good dumb Birdo, throw those eggs at me so I can hit you with 'em and die.

I gave in a bought Megaman X8. I don’t see why people are saying it’s SO damn good. It’s good, but it still feels bland and unexciting.

Finishing my second run in Onimusha 3 now. It’s unfortunate that the sales were low in the US…

Yeah, Oni3 is awesome, I just lost my memory card a couple of months ago and my 90% file along with it. I have yet to work up the strength to beat it again.

Shadows of Rome isn’t bad. Pretty violent too haha. Tenchu Wrath or wtvr the fuck its called. Still same ole shitty camera problems.

With that much progress lost, I’d probably be too depressed to bother making it back for at least a week…

On a side-note, I wished Jacques’ P90 was an unlockable…

Am I the only one that thought Samanosuke’s second outfit, minus sunflower design, was actually really cool?

I haven’t seen it yet (but then again, I don’t have an Onimusha Blade Warriors file to unlock it with).

Er, you don’t need a buraiden file to unlock it, I think it was just beat teh game with some rank with Samanosuke’s sections.

I just started playing Metropolis Street Racer on DC and I’m really liking it. The game is very long and difficult so I’ll be enjoying it for a while. I dunno how I managed to miss this one for so long. The tracks are alot of fun and it reminds me of World Driver Championship my favorite racer ever on N64.

Oh and anyone play Project Gotham Racing 1/2 on X-box? I heard that the same guys made it.

I picked up a copy of StarFox Adventures the other day and started playing that. Nice game. I love the level of detail in the game. The individual hairs of Fox’s fur are not only visible, but affected by the wind. It’s lovely. I also like being able to play as Fox outside of his Arwing, as I stink at flight combat games, but really like Fox’s character.

As far as actualy gameplay goes, I’m not very far. But what I’ve seen seems pretty good. Kinda like a Legend of Zelda game, but with Fox McCloud. The staff’s combo system is pretty neat.

About 90% done with Voodoo Vince. And its one of the most fun platformers Ive played in a long time. Grinding up the little animals to make sausage was awesome. Just got to the last level, Carnival.

also started Resident Evil 4 with SMB. We have just returned to Pueblo after being saved by Ada at eh village chief’s house. So far its a really fun game. it seems tougher than the other REsident Evil games though.

Just got SF:AC the other days (previously, I had Japanese imports of HSF2 and 3s, separately) and I’ve been playing the hell out of it ever since. Being the the 2d fighting game nut that I am, I’m very satisfied with this.

If you like MSR then those games are must haves. They are both made by bizarre creations, same developers as MSR.

Have fun with MSR, very fun game

MRS is TIGHT!! The soundtrack for that game was awesome, it had/has killer visuals and the racing was sweet. One of my fav DC games by far. I actually only paid $10 for a brand new copy at Best Buy at the end of 2001.

Well I bought the Atari Anniversary Collection. 85 Atari games for only $20. That was hard to pass up. And GameSpot only had 3 copies left. But alas, I didn’t get Spider-Man 2. I wanted that game soley for the web-slinging but I couldn’t get it. I also couldn’t get NES Classic Castlevania on the GBA. What kept me from getting these games? Two things: two Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Contollers. Both were only $14.99 new. I had forgotten about these babies for a long time but when I walked into GameSpot and saw those lovely controllers, I couldn’t help myself. So when I left, I had Ken and Chun-Li. The boxes themselves are so awesome, I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. As for actually play on the controls, whoa!! Man, I can’t believe how good it is to play on a 6 button controller! I can do some crazy stuff with Ken on MvC2. I can’t wait to play SFIII: 3S on these babies.

The EGM mini-report: (*probably old news to most…but I have given up on going to popular videogame sites for news…it’s just too much pain to deal with on 56k. The webmasters load up 20 billion images and Flash animations on just one damn page, and I got tired of dealing with that just to read some text.)

-There is another Hulk game on the way…a GTA rip just like the recent Spiderman! This has strong potential…I just hope it isn’t the massive letdown Spidey 2 was, and actually has something we like to call “replay value”. (S2 had NO unlockables. Not even a symbiote costume…this is exactly why they didn’t get my money at all.)

-the ad for Champions: Return to Arms on page 20 is the hottest ad ever in the history of games. Her ass isn’t a big beautiful bubble like Vida G., but damn it’s nice.

-SF Anniversary Collection for Xbox comes with SF2 Animated movie…this takes instant priority for me…I only have a few scenes of the movie on an old VHS tape when it came on HBO so many years ago.

-what’s the point of Sega Classics Collection? Nostalgia is DESTROYED if you “improve” the visuals. It’s like one of my favorites of all time—Ms. Pacman. I would NOT play it if they released a 3d version. I want the real Ms. Pacman in it’s most exact form. On the psx Namco disc, I’d turn the tv over on it’s side, and flip the image so the proportions were arcade perfect…I did this every time I played…nostalgia demands perfection, not improvement. The only exception to this rule I can think of are the All-Star-ish versions of the Super Mario games on GBA…those are good.

-Phantom Dust looks awesome, and the fact that it has Custom Soundtrack has me sold now.
-Star Fox Assault actually looks good…
-EGM crossword puzzle…piece of cake just like usual.

MMX8 sucks.

HOLY CRAP!

Suikoden II is $180?

I REALLY gotta find that copy that’s stashed in my room somewhere!

Playboy mansion is fucken garbage. THe new Tenchu game is frustrating if you want to get perfect rank. Now all I can do is wait for Nanobreaker and a few other things coming out in Feb. Suikoden IV just found a nice home to collect dust

Btw, that Nina Williams game isn’t so bad…sorta
