Just Isadora, on the first round. Because I could never figure out how to kill that mounted archer hero in one turn, and he attacks like four times.

After that, it was just a matter of Hawkeye not getting berserked, a little zigzagging w/ Athos, Eliwood, and some rescuing cavalry; and Mr. Dragon was good as toast.

Now I have Ico. I’m not quite sure what to make of it.

You lucky bastard!! You must have a trust fund or something.

Nah lol. I just keep my eyes peeled for good deals and a sharp judgment call on whenever I have enough to get whatever it is and still get other priorities straight.

^well that’s it there. Cell Jr. and Saibamen! I must have this Budokai 3. I never thought someone would add those characters to a roster in a dbz fighting game…not ever. I actually lke the Cell Jr. design much better than the real Cell. Too bad the action figure Cell Jr.(Irwin Toys) sucks. It’s strange, cuz IT did a nice job on Cell and most of the others. (much better than whoever put out the previous crappy line of dbz action figs.)

VIEWTIFUL JOE 2 is tight, yes. I do have 1 major complaint about it though…but it’s still really good in other ways…so I’m not even sure how I’d rank it against VJ1. Also, there’s still a small chance this one major complain will be nullified. (nobody has beaten VJ2 100% just yet…so there’s still hope for secret characters)

I played through Power Stone and a little MvC2 yesterday. The main reason was that I was recording some more game music since I got a new tv with stereo speakers. I’m in the extreme minority that likes the MvC2 music, and I got the bgm from Desert stage, Factory, clock tower, training stage, and the intro and ending.
Power Stone STILL looks good by today’s graphical standards, btw…everything is so colorful, crisp and sharp…it looks better than a lot of ps2 games I’ve seen…but that may be due to superior design elements/concepts(Capcom artists usually shit on everyone else, imo. They’re just The Shit. I’d say only Sega, Namco, and maybe Nintendo are even comparable to their greatness.) rather than technology. I still love that game.

Snagged Outlaw Golf 2, for only 20 bucks its worth it. The game is simplistic as anything, but the charcters are funny, especially the white rapper “Ice Trey”

playing Ratchet & Clank 3

I love that series. Been following Insomniac since the first Spyro. They’re one of my favorite developers. Right now, I would by a game made by them without looking at screenshots or even knowing what the game is because its pretty much guaranteed to be great.

Anyway, Im almost done. Only one level left, so I stopped to gather the skill points and to finish leveling up all my weapons. I just got the Infernox armor  (im such a geek  )

Overall, I think that R&C 2 was the best in the series. R&C3 was rushed and you can tell. Not that its a bad game at all, its just not as long or as polished as #2. But its still an awesome game. The fact that Insomniac was able to create a game of this calibur in about 12 months is amazing. Not many developers could have pulled together such a great game in so short a time. R&C 2 had an almost 2 year development cycle, and it showed in the upgraded gameplay features. I also think I like the weapons in R&C2 better. But its nice to see the bouncer and the plasma coil back in the R&C3.

Anyway, after I finish this one, Im going to go back and play 1 and 2 again. I really cant wait to see what Insomniac dos next.

I also got to get around to playing Jak and Daxter 2 and 3.

Next up is Sonic Heroes, which I never got a chance to play.

playing halo 2 still

For me, I’m mostly playing Smackdown vs. Raw. I recently got it, GTA SA, GG Isuka, and CFJ. I took GG Isuka back cause I freakin hated it, GTA I’ve been playing a lot so I’m kinda breaking away from it, and CFJ just kinda flat out sucks. Multiplayer is okay, but single player is boring as hell.

Budokai 3. STILL. Oh, I love this dumb game. Funny COM vs. COM moment seconds before the fight. 18 vs. Krillin. 18: What would you like for…dinner? Krillin: You’ll figure it out…later.

Everyone’s ultimate attack costs $50,000. Trunks actually uses his sword for some of his combos and his ultimate attack, Burning Slash also uses his sword. I soooo want that attack.

You’d really like B3, Million. The teleport counter system rocks. So many mind games can be played with just that alone.

Just beat Megaman 7 on PS2. For 2 months I went on MMAC hiatus due to mass frustration of final Wily. Now i got the pattern down (Stand-slide-jump, stand-slide-jump-infinity). later on I’ll finish it on Gamecube, and switch back to PS2 and move on with Megaman 8 and finish that shit off.

halo2, still wanta katamari damacy. (:

I’m playing Shin Megami Tensei: Noctoune…it’s a good agame with a lot of depth, but the dungeons get repetitive after awhile. I like the whole customization aspect of the whole. It feels like you’re playing pokemon…with cool looking monster (to an extent, because some of these demons just look dumb. I just got done playing Ace Combat 5, this is the best jet fighter game ever made…if you own a PS2 I say you should get this game.

weja: same here on katamari

lucky: so shin megami is good?? I really want to play that, from what i saw in magazines the game looked good. is it all dungeon crawling??

Anyone play Alien Hominid?

Is it worth holding off buying Viewtiful Joe 2 for?

My copy of Alien Hominid just shipped. They say it will be here on December 6.
For the love of Christ, why did I have to order it online? I could have had it by now. And instead of paying $5 shipping, I’d pay $1 bus fare.
ANYWAYS, I just finished re-playing The Ur-Quan Masters. Apparently, this version actually has an ending. Awesomeness.

Being a scrub tryin to learn Oro juggle in 3S… T_T

I was playing Toshinden 2 again, just for fun. This game kicks so much ass.

On another note, WTF was up with Toshinden 4?? It looked worse that 2, and half the characters suck ass (a cupid-looking chick, and a cyborg? ) Plus, Naru is a total disgrace to the badass legend that was Kayin. She has NO style whatsoever, and was/is basically the T&A of the game. Subaru and Rook look tight, but that’s about it. Even crazy-looking Eiji fails to compare to Sho’s greatness.

I am at The Viewtiful Escape as Capt. Blue. I should have VJ done by Friday, and will be able to start on VJ2.

I’ve also played around some more with Super Mario 64 DS. I have everyone unlocked now. The boss that you have to fight to rescue Wario is a pain in the ass. He’s a big ice block that you have to fight on an icy platform as Luigi. Fast speed + slippery ground = lots of frustration.

I’m really looking forward to Sonic DS and All New Super Mario Bros. Sonic DS is gonna be 3D, but I have hopes after Heroes. But I have really high hopes for All New SMB, it’s supposed to be a new 2D Mario game. That’s gonna be cool.

I hope that you like Sonic Heroes. I was just in awe of it. The team system is awesome and the levels are tight. Super-Hard Mode was also a blast. I think that my only real complaint are the Team vs. Team boss fights.

the hell?! There was a Toshinden 4!!!? I never heard of it until you said something. I knew there was a part 3 that I never even saw in stores here, and I thought the series just faded away with that.

*apparently VIEWTIFUL JOE for DS isn’t just a port of part 1…that’s what I gathered from reading the Gamefaqs boards there, so take that for what it’s worth. If it is more than a port, or even a new VJ game entirely, of course that means I have no choice but to immediately get the DS when this game comes out.

*sidenote…I’d rather DS just be better 2d and probably 3d cel-shaded polys. “Regular” old 3d looks TERRIBLE, imo. Remember those days where everything looked like paper mache’…that’s just bad. Old 2d looks better than old 3d, imo. Cel Shade 3d, however…that’s a whole different thing. You can get away with simplistic character/environment structure that still looks good in cel-shade. A good example was the first Jet Grind Radio. The game looked great, despite the models having an obviously low/primitive poly count.

eh, while I’m here: VJ2 --Ultra Vrated. I’m on the 2nd Reel. More details in the VJ2 thread of course.

ahhh, that is excellent news indeed remy. I only got to play it for a few minutes at this year’s E3. but im really looking forward to it. now if only it will arrive in the mail!!! I bought it off ebay before thanksgiving and it still hasnt arrived yet!!!

oh and which version did you play? I bought the GC version. and do you know if there is any difference in the 3 versions??
