I’m actually surprised at how far I’ve progressed on Mega Man Zero 2 without the help of a guide. When I tackled the first MMZ I used planet-megaman.com for info on the bosses weakness. Anyway, I have a good amount of cyber elves, 3 Sub-Tanks, and a double life bar! I’ve only got one more chase mission to go until I reach the final stages. The game doesn’t seem as hard as I’ve heard it was.

Bump.

I picked up a new copy of Mega Man X4 because my original one had a seriously messed up jewel case. It has the green GH lable on the side but ah well. I also picked up the rare Klonoa: Empire of Dreams game for GBA for only $16.99.

It has been a good while since I’ve been to the arcades. I went into the one in my mall with by brother-in-law. I saw him kick a serious amount of CPU butt with Jill, Spider-Man & Ken in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I’ve never actually seen MvC2 in action but it looks pretty sweet. I’m gonna try to find a copy of the PS2 version but its getting pretty hard to find around here. I also thought about picking up Tekken 4 after seeing it in the arcade. Been a while seen I’ve been Tekkenized.

I’ll resume my Viewtiful Adventures in just a moment…I watched Spiderman 2 at a friend’s house over the weekend(*sidenote–that must’ve been the best quality bootleg dvd I’ve ever seen!)…it got me in a good “superhero” mood, and I began to think of Viewtiful Joe again…I was listening to some of the things I recorded as mp3s earlier…oh yeah…it’s that time again.

VJ on Ps2 is reviewed in the current EGM = two 8.5s, and a 9.
And of course I’ll have to buy Nintendo DS immediately, as Viewtiful Joe is on the list of launch games.

I popped that in for a bit yesterday, and I’m still amazed at the quality of it.

Megaman X4, it still brings back memories of when I first got it.

Around 1997 when the game first came out, my cousin bought me the game when visiting family in New Jersey/New York, I first beat the game using X, then Zero, all in one sitting.

BTW if anyone’s played X4 on Sega Saturn, are there any differences over the PSX like with Megaman 8? For instance, music that’s a Saturn exclusive never heard on PSX, or the same stage has different music for both systems (like Tengu Man stage)?

I played it a few weeks ago at my bro-in-laws house. I’m still amazed by this game as well. And I think I’m gonna play through it again as both X and Zero. Of course Sigma will probably make me his B for a while…again. :frowning: But back in 1998 I beat it with Zero in one setting. Didn’t even die on Sigma!! So maybe I can do it again. But first I wamna finish Mega Man Zero 2.

I haven’t been playing much these days due to recurring illness, but that ain’t gonna stop me from modding my xbox!!! I just got my modchips in the mail today (1 for me, one for my friend) so I’ll be busy installing shit. I’ll check back once I get everything going.

I recently picked up VF4:EVO…some of my buddies have begun playing it and so I had to follow suit. I kind of hate them for it now because damn this game is addictive. I decided on picking up Wolf first because I play King in the Tekken games and decided that he’s gotta play somewhat similar. The first night I was getting my ass handed to me by them but they showed me the tutorial mode and within 2 days I was breaking even with the wins/losses. I can’t believe how nice the practice mode/tutorial section is…EVERY damn fighting game should include this. Quest mode is too good too…I’ll probably pick up Jacky next, but for right now Wolf is too much fun. BTW for anyone who has this game, is there any possible way to build up your character at home and say bring your memory card over to a friend’s house and be able to play him there?

If you have a Dreamcast, try to find that version of MvC2. It’s much closer to the arcade.

The Viewtiful Adventure is still one of the best in the history of games. I just played thru from the last stage save file on Adults(cuz I’m bound to be “rusty” now) difficulty with Joe. eh, SPOILER for Ps2 fans who still haven’t experienced the greatness*****

I whooped King Blue with ease…it was so much fun to play up to the final battle, watch those cinematics…and beat that giant ass! The voicework is great in this game too…I hope they can keep the same people around for as long as Viewtiful Joe games are made. Any other voice as “Joe” would sound all wrong now…and the same goes for all other characters. Anyway, The Captain came out, and the final showdown was on. I actually beat him with a mix of real fighting and a few cheap voomerangs…heh, good thing I had also had a take2. I watched that great ending once again, loving every minute of it…and then the music video.

*does anyone have details on the Nintendo DS version? Will it be just a port of the first game or something else?
*Ps2 VJ Update = Dante will not replace Alastor; so yeah, you guys get a whole new character to play with besides the original 4. Also, since it’s been reviewed in Game Informer and EGM…I assume it should be out VERY soon…

Ah so you picked up VF4: Evo. GREAT game, isn’t it. Quest Mode is a masterpiece. As for building up your character and putting it on a memory card to fight against your friend, that feature is only in VF4 I believe and not in Evo.

Gah…I hated Mega Man X4. X sounded retarded, and Zero was an effing surfer-dude for some reason. Throw in that lame-ass Iris and Double and you have a game I’ll never play again.

MM Zero 2 is sweet though. 3 is better, but hey. Not all of us have access to it just yet.

Anyone pick up Astro Boy: Omega foce? Check out the review at gamespot.

Yeah I saw the score. New it was gonna be good but 9.2 good? Didn’t see that one coming. I’ll have it when I get my next check.

BTW all you Mega Man fans will be unhappy to know that Capcom peed all over us/screwed us, whatever you wanna call it by delaying the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the GBA…again. Instead of releasing on Sept 7th, we now have to wait until Nov 9th. Blast you, Capcom. Better be a truckload of extras for all these delays. :lame:

Playing PGR2, NFL2K5(ESPN) and GGXX. Got to get ready for #R when that hits LIVE. Haven’t played VF4EVO in awhile tho’ which is the best fighting game imho.

Now if only Final Tuned would come to the Xbox…

I just beat Mega Man Zero 2. The ending left things wide open for a sequel. The level designs weren’t as good as those in the first MMZ but overall, MMZ2 was still a tight game. I’d have been in trouble if not for my cyber elves and Sub-Tanks. Oh well. Next game!

My KoF 2001 finally arrived! Problem is, I can’t play anybody in it cause I have one joystick, and the Neo Geo CD pad plays like shit.

Right now, I’m still playing PSO on my GC. I’m also in the hunt for 100% on Final Fantasy X-2. Damn, that song they play in the opening credits, Eternity, is so badass I went and got the sheet music for it.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think there are any differences. To me, the Saturn version just looks visually “deeper”.

Music and everything else are the same in both versions.

Phantasy Star Online –
Dookieman = is now level 101, and wearing the Flame Garment…so he’s Hot Shit now. This makes 3 characters I have that are above level 100 now…with Chojin at 152, Dookie at 101, and BigNTasty at 103 or 104(*been awhile since I played Big, who also has FG, and is in “Flame Broiled” form.)

For Dookie, it is a long road to the Smoking Plate.(lv.131 requirement.) I was going to do the whole narration thing here of Dookie’s adventures, but I’m just not in the mood, and the forum is constantly throwing the “Server is too busy” message at the moment. Speaking of those…Chojin’s story isn’t done. He still has his plans to destroy all humans and newmans…but since that’s outside of the gameplay context…I may just post that in FanFiction one day…or something.

I’ve still been in the Viewtiful Joe mood though…I’ll pick up where I left off with The Captain in a little while. I’m currently at the last possible save spot on V-rated. I was good enough to get thru this and U-Vrated before, but I STILL fear those damn Metal Leos…especially in the final timed room. The margin for error in those situations is rediculously slim in the higher difficulties.
