I will go buy castlevania ds and trauma center today.
All i have to say is sorry to anybody without a ds today.
I’m actually planning on buying a blue ds this week to play castlevania. I’m interested in trauma center, post up your impressions on the game if you can
I can’t, today was the ship date, not the release date.
And actually, if you want a ds and can hold off til november, you can get a red one that comes bundled with mario kart for 150 bucks.

God, how i love my ds.:bgrin:
Sly 3 has its hooks firmly embedded, really enjoying this one.
Watch out. I heard the red one will come with firmware that will block homebrew applications from running. Might want to buy one now.
My baby daughter was born yesterday! She’s 8 lbs. and 2 oz.! She’s a cutie!
Yeah, that camera is something else…it kept me from truly enjoying the game. I’ll get it when it’s $14.99.
It’s still cool, though.
OMG, yes. I was dissapointed the moment I realized what kind of “fighting” game it was. I thought it was 1-on-1 Street-Fighter style. I knew it was going to suck from the word go, which is why I never did any research on it, nor did I ever actually look forward to it.
IP is one of those games that I can actually sit down and watch someone play for hours on end. So many options.
And speaking of game purchasing, the funny thing is, I’m just getting OUT of the “buying games new” phase, unless it’s a must-have. I picked up Burnout: REVENGE with the rest of my credit. It. Kicks. ASS. It’s nice to play a game that’s not a fighter or a shooter for a change. Easily the best “arcadey-style” racer I’ve ever played. Hell, might be the best racer I’ve ever played period. Blowing shit up just sounds so sweet in surround sound.
So much for my “don’t-get-a-new-game-until-you-finish-the-old-one” crap. But you know, I don’t regreat a damn dime.
Yeah, its a rare occassion for me to buy a game new. Half.com is my friend, always buying and selling my games there instead of buying 'em new or trading them in for store credit. Wanted to get Shadow of the Colossus new because I figured Id support the makers of such fine work as Ico and hopefully SoC.
I try to stick to that “don’t-get-a-new-game-until-you-finish-the-old-one” mentality but it can only last for so many minutes.
Just beat Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Man that game was way easy, as half of your army was like mounted versions of Hector, and Ephraim and Eirika…damn. They were a frickin’ force of nature by the end, nobody could even hit them, let alone damage them. But overall, it was fun to play (secret dungeons and multiple class changes = awesome), so I’m not regretting it too much.
Just preordered RE4 for the PS2 so I’m pumped.
And I really wanna buy IP. That game looks like teh hotness.
Congrats on your baby girl, FighterX!! She gonna be a gamer too?
I beat Forgotten Worlds early in the AM on the CCC. Man, that game is better than I thoguht it was. Going to shops to get more life and firepower = top tier. I’m going for 1942 yet because I still haven’t beaten that.
Playing as Venom in USM is more fun than I thought after you’ve beaten the game. As long as you don’t throw cars around, the cops stay off your back and you’re free to eat people.
Right now im playing gta san andreas.
Im at the mission entilted "wu zi mu"and all i can say about this mission is that it’s as hard as any mission on here but all ican say is that this is the best work Rockstar has released to date.
On the final boss again on Rayman DS. I haven’t played it yet, though. I plan on trying tonight. But God I hated that shit in Rayman 2, so I’m not looking forward to it.
Oh well…
Also, playing this again has made me want to play 1 and 3 over again. I’ll prolly do that when I’m done with this.
I traded in a whole bunch of games and DVDs. I’m sure that I could have gotten more if I did one of those game-trading sites, but I wasn’t TOO concerned about making money as much as I was getting rid of shit that I don’t watch or play anymore. I got $130+ for a few crappy DVDs, so it was worth it. I used to go by the “don’t-trade-in-anything-because-you-might-want-to-play-it-later” mentality, but it’s amazing how you can change the older you get.
I know how you feel about “support the company”. I do that as well. Out of the hundreds of games I own, only 2 or 3 are burns…but I’m a “gotta have the real thing” nut. I sometimes wish I wasn’t such a collector, and that I could actually burn games and not give a crap, but that’s not me – I’m not shitting on people that DO (since I’ve gotten to sample games before that way), but I always know what I’m going to buy and what I’m getting into. I’ve always been able to make informed purchases, so I can honestly say I’ve only brought one game without trying first that I didn’t like. You guys help a lot on this thread with the recommendations.
I must have broken some kind of record, because since I started trading old stuff in, I’ve only paid $$$ for maybe 4 or 5 games in the past year or so. I’m doing quite well, and managing to be able to save a bit of money. I remember when I first started inporting with the Sega Saturn…my first import was KOF 95’, and my 2nd import was X-Men vs. SF. Those were the days.
But of course, there are the games which I will most likely never trade in, and that includes my fighting game collection and gems like Sin and Punishment for the N64.
But, believe it or not, I have you guys to thank for helping me save $$$. I used to get every game on Day 1, and never had time to finish them all. Then I see how you guys seemed to get maximum enjoyment out of finishing 1 game first (or maybe 2) before you went and brought the next one. I was (unnecessarily) concerned about not being able to find a game later, but I learned to discern what would be rare from what would be plentiful. Rare, for example, is the SNK games that come out on XBL. Most stores only get 1 or 2 copies. I haven’t even seen any KOF 2k3’s in any stores except Gamestop/EB.
You guys kick arse. Great people, and a great thread. Spot-on recommendations. We all seem to have that “appreciate the little touches in the game” thing going on that helps up overlook minor faults and enjoy the game for what it is instead of tearing it apart over 1 little small issue.
Damn! I forgot about RE4 for the PS2. ARGH! No more games!
Thanks, Reggie! I’ll let her make that decision.
I’d “forgotten” how difficult Forgotten Worlds was when I was a kid. Going to try to beat that sometime.
just got a call from EB saying I can come in and pick up my copy of Digital Devil Saga 2
Been waititng for that game, Can’t wait til I get off work so I can pick it and Castlevania DS up.
I finally beat that stupid cheap-ass final boss in Rayman 2. Well, Rayman DS. Same thing. God that BS was so stupid. You have to fly your bomb thing into side tunnels full of debris, grab the bulllets, and shoot him nine or ten times while avoiding his heat-seeking shots. And you die in one hit, and have to start the whole thing over again.
Well how was the first one. I heard some good news about but I havent touched my Ps2 since there really isnt any games that I want to play on there that is exclusive. I have basically played all the hot titles on Ps2 already from Jax3 to Metal Gear Solid 3. I am just curious in the gameplay overall, I can care less about the story.
Went into EB Games and paid of the rest of my preorder for RE4. I started browsing around the PS1 games when I found…
Front Mission 3. For $5.00
$5.00!!
It was in mint condition with the CD case, instructions, and everything.
Today was a good day
Congrats on beating the final boss in Rayman 2, Remy. You’re a better gamer than I.
It’s officiacl. 1942 > Me. I was ready to pull an all-nighter on this game. I got down to about 13 more stages until I would be finished. But my patience wore out on me. And I was getting ticked at the sight of my WWII plane blowing up. In other CCC news, Gun.Somke is fun but quite possibly one of the toughest games on the whole disc. Co-oping with a buddy is a must.
dds2 is just sitting here. too lazy to play it and the fact that i didn’t finish any of the recent megaten games lol.
im just waiting for black/white 2
