great…something ELSE I have to get. Commando is on there! I can’t resist the arcade greatness that was Commando…and then there’s Bionic Commando as well?!..man, and I was already planning on getting the Namco classics thing this weekend, as long as I don’t succumb to the temptation of a certain 100 dollar dvd recorder…(*I could seriously play Dig Dug and Ms. Pacman FOREVER.)
-Unreal Champ 2 --I have given up all hope there will ever be another download(Ra, Corrosion, Nephtys, etc. They will NEVER be playable. )
What does he do when someone kills his girl? Goes and starts annihilating humanity. Kills an emperor with his OWN SWORD. Takes out the rest of Ryu’s crew with a wave of his hand. Hell, when you beat him, he’s still standing like nothing’s wrong. He’s even the reason for my namesake (if you choose one of the endings, you’ll get to kill everybody as the “Infini Dragon”).
BoF 4 was such a great game…it only gets topped by Dragon Quarter.
I got the OPM mag in the mail with the Soul Calibur 3 demo. It’s got so many options, and plus you can make your own fighter. I think this demo served it’s purpose - the sheer amount of potential options make this a must have.
I also got my Capcom Collections today. There’s a lot of games that I just played for the first time.
I tried out the “Indigo Prophecy”. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I might purchase it when it comes out (when I’m done with X-Men Legends 2)
Million, forget about that DVD recorder. You NEED the Capcomi Classics Collection!! Heck, all of you need the CCC!! Final Fight is da freaking TRUTH!! It’s great to play the arcade version of this. SFII, SFII: CE, SFII: HF, Mercs, Section Z, Son Son, Gun.Smoke, Forgotten Worlds, 1942, 1943, 1943 Kai, Ghosts & Goblins, Final FREAKING Fight, Commando, Legendary Wings… Crap! I gotta change my shorts!!
And as for the Namco 50th Anniversary, Million, don’t forget it has Galaga '88. Galaga FREAKING '88!! For $40 you could get so much glassic gaming goodness. Buy the DVD recorder some other time. You need this stuff like you need blood in your veins.
Taking a bit of a break from my raving on Capcom Classics Collection.
I managed to beat the Green Goblin in Ultimate Spider-Man. But man, was it tough. Tough but doable. First I had to chase him through the city (most boss fights in USM begin with a chase) and along the way, the Goblin thought it would be cute to stop and knock a billboard over and cause a wreck in the street. This put some citizens in danger and I had to put Spidey’s strength to work in order to free them. Of course this left me vunerable to Osborn’s attacks. You can only imagine how annoying it is trying to lift wreckage off people when you’ve got some green goon hurling fireballs roughly the size of a person at you.
As a bonus, I present some dialogue from my fight with the Green Goblin:
-Goblin: DIIIIIIIIIIIE!!!
-Spidey: How’s it feel to have your butt kicked by a 15 year old kid?!
-Spidey: What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!!
Paycheck! ^^; Will probably hit the mall tomorrow and check out some of the games suggested here.
Still progressing with SD:HCP. Getting the hang of the :df:+X, L1 combo now. Reversals and countering finishers are cool as well.
But damn those special matches (Table, Ladder, Cage, etc.) can get annoying the first time around. I really like the Season mode, as I found out you could play even those matches on the card that don’t involve your character. That means you can choose to “push” whomever you like to win a particular belt. ^^;
I’m playing many of the games on the Capcom Classics Collection for the first time. I just got done playing Forgotten Worlds. Game is fun but Mercs tottally kills it. I haven’t even played half the games on this disc yet. There’s so much goodness here it’s inasne.

Well I beat Ultimate Spider-Man. Great story, fun gameplay and an overall enjoyable game. I hear the story in the game is supposed to have some sort of effect in the USM comics. Anyway, for beating the game I unlocked two costumes, the hoody which Peter wears when he fights Venom in the begining and the wrestling costume that Peter wore in the super early issues of USM.
Alternating between Shaolin Monks 4th run through, and Sly 3. Sly 3 is the shit, if you liked 1 and 2 you know what to expect in 3 story and art wise, good shit.
Also trying to figure out how to beat Achilles in Trojan on Capcom Classics.
