Well, Whip isn’t certainly good for poking, that’s for sure. Her jump CD works wonders, though…high priority, nice angle and range. I suggest playing mind games with her HCB moves…one hits high, one hits in the middle, and the other hits low…you can resort to switching between the high and low ones to keep them guessing.
And if you thought she was complex…just wait to get a load of Angel. :wow:
fucking escort missions. WHEN will developers realize this bullshit simply is NOT fun?! Destroy All Humans has one, and damn it’s annoying.
The escort mission was never good the first time it was implemented…and 30 years from now it STILL won’t be good.
edit—this is coming off an incredibly cool mission though…not sure if I want to spoil the goods…but SPOILER WARNING******
only read if you don’t care to be surprised by the game’s awesomeness…
—I had no idea I would face…GIANT ROBOTS!!! haha…the shit is just too tight. Besides the current escort-nuke-mission bullshit, this game just gets better with every mission. What’s even better…at Area 42, you become powerful enough to telekinetically lift the giant robots! :wow:
---------blah blah spoiler over----------
Destroy All Humans ACTION FIGURES. Please, someone make these…I need them.
Oh escrot Missions do indeed suck donkey balls. Never liked them. Never. But Destroy All Humans must be a pretty awesome game if it has gotten Million to break away from Unreal on Xbox.
My Birthday is this Friday. The big 2-4. I’m thinking about getting my first Dance Dance Revolution game. I can buy DDR Extreme and the dance pad in a combo pack for $60. I think I’ll bite.
:pleased:
I’m still on my SNK addictiong. KOF and Metal Slug games. I’m moving back and forth between KOF 2000/2001, KOF 2002/2003 and Metal Slug 4 and 5. Little things like getting a higher score and rescuing more prisoners will keep me coming back.
BTW, for the 2 of you that haven’t heard, the PS3 will cost $399. Thanks for adding all that extra crap to what should be a game machine, Sony. Ken what’s-his-name even said we’d want to work MORE hours just to aford a PS3. Sorry dude, But I’ve got bills to pay and I’m gonna have rent to pay soon. Sony can go screw themselves.
DDRMax2 i think has a better song selection than Extreme. Some of the Extreme songs are from Karoake revolution. Some on Extreme are worth playing though.
And yeah i hate escort missions. That and arcade shooting games where innocents pop up for no reason. If you here gunfire just stay the hell down.
The sad thing is that Ps3 will STILL be #1. People will buy anything with the Sony brand name on it at this point…even despite a high price tag. There were people on this board who said they’d buy the ps3 before even knowing for sure what games were going to be on it.
Sony’s PS1 and PS2 have had some awesome games over the last 10 years. But I don’t care if the PS3 comes with gold plated game discs. I am not gonna pay $400 for that thing. Just as I refuse to pay $250 for a PSP. I’ll wait for a price drop.
I think DDR Max is selling for $30 now. I don’t know what songs are in that game. I don’t even know what songs are in DDR Extreme but from what I’ve heard, you really can’t go wrong with any DDR game. Well Disnet Mix being the exception.
Just got into KOF '03 again. Not quite on the same level of awesomeness as KOF '01-'02 but man, this is still one fine game. '03’s version of Terry seems to be my fav. Not sure what it is about this version of him but it rocks. (Since I’m still new to the series, I haven’t quite discovered the differences between different installments of fighters like I have in SFII.
But '03 is lacking one of my fav fighters: K9999. No. It just isn’t possible. But I found another fighter I like in Ash.
But the 3 team system is tight. And the character designs in this series as a whole are awesome. Don’t know who the artists are at SNK but man, they have some of the tightest art work in gaming. Shen in particular looks sweet.
Oh i also forgot about In the groove. I heard the difficulty is alot higher is which im looking for. But cant even pass any of the Max songs. Only sakura on heavy or oni which i cant remember at the moment.
Well, people who have played Garou: Mark of the Wolves will find 2003 Terry to be identical to that game. Remember in CvS 2 where Rock Howard was able to “cancel” his 360 command throw? Well, that’s why Terry can “cancel” his Power Dunk…that was a special feature in Garou. I personally love the new Power Tackle and how he can follow it up. And, curiously enough, 2003 is the first KOF with the Buster Wolf.
K9999 was dropped due to copyright problems with the studio that made Akira. I mean, they even hired the same voice actor of Tetsuo to do K9999. That’s why they can’t risk having K9999 in any more games.
Argh, well…Fruity Pebble Ash may be OK, quite simple actually (only 3 special moves). He sorta has a Guile syndrome with those leap forward/backward kicks which you should actually exploit quite often.
ohhhh you guys just don’t know…Destroy All Humans just got even BETTER. I’ve made quite a bit of progress just today…SPOILERS, I guess**************
…
…
so now, the army brings in giant robots…GIANT ROBOTS!..and on top of that I’m fighting tanks, and the Majestic, who now have more MUTANTS! This is my first time dealing with the mutants, as in the first mission that deals with them…I didn’t take any chances and just killed those guys before they could do anything.(*they were in a little room downstairs in a lab…I just knocked out the power to their cages, and chucked a bomb down there…and ran in and finished off the survivor before he could even start anything up.)
Battle highlights:
-A tank is around the corner…dozens of Majestic cars and agents all over the place…AND the GIANT ROBOTS!
-So one of the coolest moments; I telekinetically lifted a flaming Majestic car and hurled it right into a robot’s chest, which knocked him off his feet…this whole time…more agents are closing in…like it’s the Burly Brawl 100 Smiths scene in MatrixReloaded. I’m luvin’ it.
-I haven’t studied the mutants closely since that was such a hectic battle…but it appears they can shut your powers down temporarily, and/or cause your weapons to malfunction. The first time I noticed one was quite a surprise…suddenly there were waves of green energy radiating across the ground…I didn’t know what the hell was going on, but it was seriously wrecking my game plan…and finally I spotted the source, and figured that was another mutant, like the ones from that earlier mission.
The game is so tight it’s rediculous. This is instantly on my list of Greatest Games of All Time. I knew the game would be awesome, but it has surpassed even my expectations by an incredible margin.
