Awesome, for once they give us a code worth using that doesn’t spoil the fun. And yeah I know exactly what you mean, like that one kid who talks like he has a mouth full of spit.
I’m re playing Castlevaina SOTN, I beat richter the 1st time I played the game and I was like “aw this game sucks” it was too short. then I after I looked at some walkthrus I found out ther was an inverted castle? so I made to the inverted castle and the enemies are just kicking my ass, I often have to use my mist form to run away, but I am gaining levels like every other enemy I defeat lol. fuckin AWESOME soundtrack btw
other than that, I been playing GGXX#R, and sucking at it as ussual.
I think its my stick? :lame:
While the idea of Adrenaline Skills is nothing new the series, several of the ones in this game are new, as is having certain ones linked to certain characters. In the previous Championship, there were four, and everyone got them all:
Invisibilty
Regenration (slowly increases health and armor until maxed)
Agility (speed up)
Berserker (damage enhancer)
Do I have to start a new game for those to work? I input the Code code then the voice code and it didn’t work for my save file.
Right now, I’m playing Devil May Cry 3. This’ll be the last game of '05 that I’ll be playing for a while, since there is nothing good coming out on the horizon. Which is fine, since I’m very behind in my games.
I’m also still playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. I love this game. In fact, if not for the judges and the weak story, this game would be better than Final Fantasy Tactics. I’ve so far clocked almost 200 hours and I’m on pace to double that number…which won’t beat my 600+ hours with Final Fantasy Tactics, but it’ll take a comfortable 2nd place.
I still have my Metroid Prime 1+2, La Pucelle Tactics, and Valkyrie’s Profile to beat, but after DMC 3, I’m going to play an current-gen RPG (one of the 5 that I would like to get). And after FFTA, I’m playing Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap.
Just finished Xenogears for the 2nd time, to let the story sink in. Very good game.
Currently playing Resident Evil 4. Way too fun, but I don’t play till it’s dark outside so I can get in the mood and everything. Really, it’s wayy better that way. Crank up the volume turn off the lights and you’re set.
I’m getting some Rogue Sqaudron 2 on the side, and I jus bought Metroid Prime. I’ll play that when I’m done with RE4.
Xenosaga update:
I am now in unfamiliar territory as I have finally passsed the point where I restarted last week. So i just finished the Orgulla fight in the ormus stronghold. That was a tough fight! i did beat it on my first attempt, but it got pretty hairy there for a few moments when she was in her second stance. I thought I was going to have to redo that one. The fight I did have to retry was the second Pilum and Scutum fight. the fight really wasnt that tough. It was just that stupid super weapon that one of them calls out and it basically just straight out kills one of my ES units. Even from full health… anyway according to the book, i have one more boss fight coming up before the end of ormus. the game is moving along much better now that its not flooded with FMV.
RE4 update: all mercenaries missions have now been passed with a 5 star rating. tonight SMB and I are going to restart the game with the new hand cannon, and we are also going to try to get the chicago typewriter.
Oneweapon: xenosaga 1??
and for RE4, its really not scary. so waiting until dark wont really help the mood. I used to do that for RE remake and it was cool, but IMO waiting until dark doesnt really help RE4 because its just not scary.
Na, Xenogears.
You’re right it’s not that scary, hah I do that so that I can REALLY get into it. You know like in movie theaters.
Currently playing DMC3 (beat it once, playing through again), Culdcept, and sometimes SF Anniversary Collection when I feel like kicking someone’s ass.
Is there anyone else besides me who has played Culdcept? The game’s amazing.
Playing NBA 2K5 online. Why do 95% of the people play pro setting?
America’s Army is comming to consoles this summer. I can’t wait.
Edit: Anyone else getting Jade Empire. Just watched the latest video, I can’t wait. This game might change the way developers make action RPG’s.
i’m playing mario sunshine. the game is harder than it appears. either that, or i’m not used to mario games anymore…
hunter: im definitely interested in Jade Empire. it does look good. I have yet to play any RPG’s for Xbox. I thought about Sudeki then reconsidered. But Jade Empire definitely looks like a must buy.
FObio: sunshine is harder than the other Mario games. not too much more than Mario 64 but definitely a good deal more difficult than the old school mario games.
Otherwise known as the only game in the Xeno series that matters.
Anyways, replaying through Kingdom Hearts on Expert Mode. Such an awesome game…can’t wait for 2.
Games I played on Monday:
MvC2: Got owned hardcore by both Brandon and Justin. One match I had with Justin didn’t even last for a minute. :wow: On the other hand, I did almost win when Rogue was all I had left and I got him down to a 1-man team. Other than that: Them>Me
Halo 2: I finally got to see what the buzz was about. I admit that it isn’t the be all, end all that everyone makes it out to be but it is a pretty tight game. Co-op rules!! And it is soooo nice to have AI allies that don’t suck.
Garu/Fatal Fury: Mark of The Wolves: On man, what a sweet, sweet 2D fighter for the DC. I’d heard of it and read some reviews on it but I never thought I’d play it. The 2D fighting is just gold. I’ve never played a Fatl Fury game before (thought about getting the SNES version but I knew it wouldn’t hold up to the arcade/Neo-Geo versions) but now I’ve got to track down the DC masterpiece. I even owned Justin with Terry!!!
Thunder Fove V: I got to show off my mad skills at old-school shmups. Good, fun game. HARD.
'Twas a great day for gaming.
Well, I found something interesting in the cheap bin yesterday…
Pitfall: The Lost Expedition
Apparently, it came out last year, but I never heard anything about it. But, seeing as it was only $10, I snatched that up. Especially since I loved the Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure on SNES, and I even remember the Atari 2600 Pitfall (though I can’t say that I liked that one).
So far, the game seems decently enjoyable, though not like anything particularly spectacular. Although I did only play it for about 30 minutes before passing out last night.
Slow going in RE4. School is somewhat killing me with work but I managed to get to the part where you first get Ashley on Thursday. I just picked up the game today and made it to the part where you are hold up in the house with Luis (or whatever the dude that sounds like he was in Extreme Ghostbusters name is).
Only really scary part technically shouldn’t have been scary. Seriously after fighting Gigante I know I saw the mutant dogs in the rain but for some reason (possibly flashing back to the dog that helped me in the fight I didn’t try to shoot it until it was already knawing on my face.
now that i have a new ps2 I am getting back into ps1 games.
Any non-rpg suggestions?
Im playing through Wipeout 3 again…i love this game. getting all of the prototype tracks = long
Has anyone else been keeping up with God of War, game by sony studios coming out on the 22nd. It looks like it combines the best of prince of persia and Devil May Cry 3. anyone else interested. here are some videos, that game looks insane.
El(game needs its own hype thread)
when does ff12 come out?
Since I left my PS2 memory card at my friend’s place I’ll have to stick to other games. So I’m getting back into MvC2 and Alpha 3. Working on improving my skills with Guy. He’s one of my fav fighters in the game. For a dude that doesn’t use any sort of projectiles, he’s pretty tight. And his 2nd throw (the one that is a combo) is just killer. Survival mode in this game is sweeeeeeeeet.
