On Cort: I never gave him the chance to summon Juggs. Noa’s one crazy amigo with the Miracle Arts when you’re fighting Cort or Lapis (the secret boss), so she hit him hard as hell. Although Gala was the ultimate badass by the end (Biron Rage hit for 9000 HP and he had a Mettle Goblet  ) Noa’s still my favorite, she has access to Super and Miracle Arts before anyone else, plus her idea of “dancing” in the minigame is too good.
On Songi: Yes, he was a bad mofo. He took all three of your guys at once, could fly and teleport, and did it all with unrivaled arrogance. Hell, he even had the most badass fight music. So yeah, Songi >>> Cort.
On the Point Card: I only used it one time; when you face Tetsu for the second Mettle Gem. That guys a bastard because you have to fight him one-on-one.
One final note about the ending (spoilers):
Alpha already said something, but I have to ask: Who here actually chose Mei over Noa?! That bitch was lame as hell, and she sure doesn’t have the elite “hand wave” thing that Noa does.
End Spoilers
Indeed. :lame:
@ S.a.g.a.: Hey, I brought LoL up first! Therefore, I get the praise and love!! ME!
Songi rules. He’s kinda like Kaiba in that he taunts and trash-talks and plays mind games (yes, an NPC who plays mind games), but Songi constantly owns you both in battles and via his scheming throughout the whole game until his final demise.
Tetsu: What a bastard. He gives you a nice easy tutorial fight, then proceeds to beat the holy hell out of you the second time 'round. And you only had that one chance to beat him before advancing the plot.
Ending: I made the right choice. Let’s say it didn’t involve the lame one.
And yeah, you brought up LoL first… but I vividly described the AWESOME JUGGERNAUT SUMMON!!! MWAHAHAHA… I really need a movie of that…
Man, Vice City is getting tough, even with the cheats! I now own Diaz’ mansion but in order to force stores in the mall to cough up money for protection, I had to smash a bunch of stores up in less than 5 mins! This wouldn’t be so hard if there were 20 or so blasted stores to do AND if there weren’t so many dumb cops! Oh yeah and the 5 mins includes getting there and smashing up the stores. Personally, I don’t think its enough time. Gah!!!
Yeah, Songi was a badass, and not because he was “evil”, but because he genuinely didn’t give a damn…and then they took him out like a chump in the end.
metroid prime-yeah theres not much i can say that hasn’t already been said.
onimusha 2-just to pass by the one week left until oni 3.
super mario rpg-sadly ive never played paper mario:( .
I think I’m the only one in the world that doesn’t like SotN :o
Anyways, I’m almost done Seiken Densetsu 3 (I think I’ve played this game too much ). Next I might have to load up Circle of the Moon because of all this Castlevania talk.
I read a preview for this in GI and it caught my interest. I read the review that GI had for this game and it got a 7.75 (second opinion included). This will be my first time playing a SS game so I’m excited. I know it isn’t a terribly deep FPS but it sounds like a blast to play and for $20, I can’t resist. Hey, Fighter X, I’m picking the game up Friday or Saturdayish but I probably won’t open it up right away. I you pick it up soon and play it can you post some impressions? Thanks in advance.
Symphony of the Night: loved it BUT it had it’s problems. One song for almost the majority of the upside-down castle=lame. Also, despite the added play length and challenges, most of the second castle was a little dull. But overall, I loved the game. The first GBA Castlevania is a gooder as well, though the second one was less than stellar. I still have to purchase the third one…
FF11: WTF is up with this huge 2+ hour version update!? I’ve been here waiting forever…
Sacred: I took a brief break from this but will probably take it up again now that version 1.6 is out. Anyone play online? I’m not very good at the game but I’m willing to try.
Mario Kart: Double Dash: I’ve played this every week w/ three other people since I’ve owned the game. Two on two karting is just that damn fun. The heated back-seat punch battles just take the cake. I’m seriously contemplating getting a faster upload DSL account just to host some Warp Pipe games…
Gunbound: I’m installing this after that mammoth FF11 update decides to finish. I hear good things…
I liked SOTN but I had a problem with the difficulty level. I thoguht it was too easy. Some of the bosses gave me a challenge but it lacked the difficulty of past Castlevania games like the NES original and Super Castlevania IV. If the players played some of the older Castlevania games I bet they would pee themselves.
Admittedly, the Sam games aren’t too deep. But they certainly are a blast to play. The sheer number and diversity of enemies makes the single-player and co-op modes incredibly hard, much moreso than any other FPS I’ve ever played. They’re crazy, whacked-out fun.
And this “Next Encounter” better not be part 3, or I’ll be pissed. Sam is a PC shooter first, and console second.
