I disagree with the proposed 28th amendment. I do not personally support massive campaigns funded mainly by a handful of corporations but I do not think the blanket statement of “corporations are not people” is something I support as I don’t want to limit free speech or the rights to do as you will with property.

I believe the internet and grassroots efforts are good enough to counter the money. Life is about marketing and you don’t need money to come up with a good gimmick.

Also why not skip this movement, get super progressive, and aim to let everyone tweet their votes as they watch c-span? No need for X amount of representatives based on geographic area anymore — politicians in their function ‘are not people’ either.

So the new French president terrified the rich fucks there, who are now all moving elsewhere. So I say just keep enacting these taxes on the rich, and let them show their true colours and pride in the country, by fleeing until there is nowhere left. I am amazed that these people were the same people politicians fought to appease, and look how quickly they turn their back on the rest of the country.

As long as you have people making bad choices and teaching their children by example to do the same shit, you will always need a safety net for the stupid. Irresponsible sexual conduct is the most sure way to end up in poverty (especially if the sperm donor is just a lazy thug with no job, and no sense of responsibility. My State (California) is $16 billion in the red. The most obvious thing to do gain more revenue and prevent them from raping the shit out of the state is to tax the rich. But since something like that requires a super majority I don’t even know how you can pass it though that filibuster that Republicans keep spamming on anything that doesn’t favor the rich.

The thing is though, A lot of rich people in general are fine with paying higher taxes because they already know that it would help gain revenue plus they can afford it. Its the mega rich and greedy guys who own corporations and buy up politicians so that they can get their tax breaks and not have to ever adjust to possible competition that fuck everything up for everyone else.
