I don’t condone the attack, but what do you really expect when you’re bombarded by an ideology that preaches “eye for an eye”?

Revenge is more than enough justification for some people - it’s not surprising.

The problem is, that people are blinded by the word ‘Muslim’, if he ran over and killed a known group of extremists it’d be different.

It’s only the extremists that will actually kill people. As a collective group of related faiths however, radical ideas are almost if not the norm.

The fact of it is, he ran over a group of innocent Muslims (as far as we know) which will end up cultivating more violence. This is where it just goes round in circles, acts like this on innocent Muslims is only going to anger more and in their rage, they will get manipulated by the stupid extremists and you could therefore assume that acts like this… just increase the risk of more ISIS terrorist attacks.

It goes both ways, though, as you mentioned. You could easily say that the more ISIS continues to attack, the more ISIS bombs the West, the more the West is likely to lash out at any Muslims in sight. In effect, they’re going to start doing ISIS’ job for them.

ISIS kills anyone, and I’m pretty damn sure that they have killed more Muslims than they have Christians or English people.

ISIS kills infidels specifically - those that they deem to be infidels. They’ll kill Muslims, because they’re not Muslim ENOUGH.

If his daughter did die at the Ariana concert this isn’t the best way of avenging it. It would almost be the same as walking into a supermarket and killing a bunch of random white people because some drugged up dude stabbed your son or something.

Now see, shit like this is what happens when the government refuses to acknowledge any Muslim-related problems, repeatedly covers up grooming rings/other bullshit, then tries to push the burden of change onto the people who didn’t sign up for this shit. People are becoming radicalized because any reasonable course of action is shut down by the government, so if you’re going to go out standing up for what you believe in anyway you might as well do so in a “blaze of glory”.

Not condoning anything, but this is almost parallel to the government oppression in the Middle East that created radicals there. I maintain that terrorism isn’t an Islam issue so much as it is a “people who own the oil are wealthy enough to tyrannize others” issue.

Rumor has it that white dude had a daughter that died at the Ariana concert. If so, this is the government’s complete fault for failing to live to the most basic tenant between citizen and state.

Mosque had been linked to being a center of known extremism, I’m sure those Muslims really hated Isis. The violence started with Muslims, either they end it, or people will act on their behalf, and thanks to the cowardnece of the British government, it can be justified since no attempt at justice has been attempted by the authority. Had the government do it’s job and clamped the Muslim problem, little kids would be alive, and we wouldn’t see the first step towards the dismantellkng of British rights for the expense of people who have no claim to British identity.

Once again, the state has failed it’s obligation to not only British citizens, but it’s heritage and culture, one which involved blood and sacrafice.

On another note with the EU, seems like they’re finally getting their shit together after the failure of austerity. They are giving Greece the desperate relief from creditors they’ve needed since they had their own little meltdown. It’s not great but at least it sets the country on the path to solvency instead of letting it go to hell to satisfy technocrats who bet on Greece going belly-up.

I’ll be interested to see what happens with Spain.

Unfortunately, a lot of people automatically assume that anyone who looks like they are from the middle east, or has a darker skin tone is a Mulsim.

So in that sense it’s racist to a degree, I know 3 white people who are Mulsim (not that they particularly follow their religion closely) and you would never assume they were Muslim because of the colour of their skin.
