The reason why American forces are not getting involved is:

1. America threatened to pull out all aid if Duterte doesn’t stop cleaning the country from drug lords and narco-politics.
2. Years before Duterte, most of the conflicts between the people and the rebels were due to America causing a lot of tension down there, when Duterte became president he wanted them to stop.

A lot of people strongly feel that the terrorism and crime in the PH is all rooted/funded from our top politicians ever since the 70’s. Try to find the senate hearings of Antonio Trillanes, and the whole Pork Barrel scandal in where Janet Napoles just went “i don’t know” in every answer because of fear of being shot. An example of that is the Maguindanao Masacre where the islamic Kingpin known as Ampatuan murdered countless journalists. He was friends with the former presidents and some generals, and his trial was a complete joke and how his prison cell was like a 5 star resort. Now since fighting this is getting Duterte such bad publicity then we really have no option other than to stand on our own, because America refuses to lend any military support (regardless of pushing around this “war on terror” since 2001).

Most of the top leaders of the Maute/Isis are already dead btw, so you can see how the military improved under his hand.

This story does have some truth to it. It’s based on a female barrister’s letter to Theresa May in 2010 asking her to allow pedos to adopt kids.

In his/her/their opinion it’s only about the US trying to sell the EU LPGs etc. The EU committee isn’t happy with the US either, lack of coordination.
