The economy in Sweden and Germany is garbage right now. The fake figures can only last so long and this only creates a bubble. The Yen’s already gone down quite a bit by the looks of it, pound is fucking dogshit atm 1 GBP = 1.20 USD but it’s still at 1 GPY = 133 JPY.

^ Only 39% of voters voted Liberal in the election fyi. Canada just follows a broken electoral system so a minority of votes can result in a majority government. Canada uses first past the post voting which encourages strategic voting. It’s not that Canadians wanted Trudeau for Prime Minister, people just didn’t want another 4 years of Stephen Harper who had already been PM for 10 (Canada doesn’t have term limits). Liberals also made electoral reform a major part of their campaign platform. The idea of finally going from FPTP to something like proportional representation is what won them votes, not muh weed if that’s what you think it was. Mexicans want the government to continue subsidizing gasoline for the people and industry as well as keeping it a nationlized product. The shift from nationalization to privatization means taht the government doesn’t have to spend money on that subsidy. They are rationlizing it as,

"not subsidizing gasoline for the 10-15% of mexicans that consume around 40% of gasoline in the country is worth it becasue it means we won’t be forced to make cuts in other social programs that the remaining 60% of mexicans depend on because they poor as fucking shit

Of course this is completely big fucking lie becasue the government is not going to redirect that money, and have in the past done the very best to ensure the bare minimum gets out. This situation is also the fault of the common mexican because they kept voting PRI and PAN even though it was fucking obvious that they where corrupt shit holes who not only had high profile corruption and assassinations, they had extensive ties with he drug cartels and essentially fostered the underground economy that made them some of the richest people on earth. They also allowed giant monopolies that make microsoft look like chump change. It didn’t help that the PRI has always been opposed to building refinieris or investing in said technology.

It’s hilarious that the any cell of the Mexican government or average pablo thinks that they can negotiate with the US. What they commie left want is access to technology, technology they could have helped develop or develop to some degree by themselves, or charge more. When the facts are that the US can simply wait them out, and there will never be a situation in which Meixco will ever have access to American oil technology, simply because that technology is simply to valuable to the United States.

It was clear from day 1 that it’d be like that. No access to the free market while restricting the free movement of people is a thing that was 100% clear, no cherry picking. Free trade with free movement or no deal, the one same rule for everyone. But nowadays people believe the weirdest things, even that building walls and making other people pay for it could happen… There are still ~1.5yrs for the negotiations - even though I don’t really expect them to go that fast/well, as even basic negotiations require so much time - and as a last-out the WTO. But people simply expect the EU to make an example of the UK’s exit. After today there are at least some clear messages.
