MvC2/CvS2 Tournament at Gameworld in Danbury
Held at 2 PM Saturday, January 3rd, 2004
Tournament will be bracket styled
and a 2 out of 3 match tournament
Cost - $7 to play one game, $12 to play both
Prize money will be determined depending on how many people join
If not enough people sign up to play, then the tournament will be canceled.
Rules for MvC2 -
- Game breaking glitches will result in automatic D.Q
- In the event of a game freezing, match will be restarted.
- All characters are open to be chose BUT remember rule #1.
- Once you pick a team, you many not change the order of your team. exp. if you pick magneto, storm, psylocke, your team will remain in that order.
Rules for CvS2 -
- This is a 1vs1 battle between players. There is NO teaming up against 1 player
- All characters are open for choosing
- If game freeze, match will be restarted

No offense, but are you stupid? There’s already a huge Chinatown Fair tournament for those same games on the same day, at the same time. PLUS they’re offering an added $100 to the pot to boot. I don’t think you’ll get anybody but Danbury locals who are too lazy to go to Chinatown, or players who want an easy win…

How did the tournament go? Was there a big turnout?
I played mvc2 for about 2 years, mostly at buckland hills mall but after competition left we called it quits after about a year of just playing vs my 2 other friends. I’m starting to play some CvS now though as well
I’m glad to see theres still some action in CT, we made 3 trips down to Smiles in milford but there was no competition there at all. We were average players, maybe a bit better than average but when I say no competition, I mean nobody at all to play.
Finally, can someone please give me an honest opinion on the sticks in Danbury? I’m up in Granby CT, so it’s probably like an hour and a half drive down there, I’d hate to make the trip down and have no one there/really broken sticks to play on.

I just got back from the tournament. There were about 14 who enterd CvS2…lol and like 3 for MvC2 (they ended up not having one I guess)
People talk shit on here but everyone down there had skill and it was fun to play. They were all nice and easy to get along with. I felt welcomed lol
As soon as people started getting there they were installing new sticks and I thought they worked fine. I had a great time and it was worth the trip. I’ll have to come down again
