The Cryptocurrency thread (Bitcoin, litecoin etc)

i already stated that working with a bank has security with it.

but the issue i said with PayPal and gw was that you need to give paypal or Google your payment information. I’m only talking about them, not the seller.

In theory once crypto gets a little more stable and gets the kinks ironed out, it should be more secure because payment information doesn’t necessarily need to be given at all. you can exchange cash for Bitcoin and the seller never needs personal information of any kind. sure they can rip you off, which is bad but in some ways its easier to deal with that then someone getting your actual information.

and the real point im making is when all things are equal, and Bitcoin is backed up by banks(meaning in the case of fraud they will help you get your money back) and insurance etc, the possibility of fraud is much lower as well as the likelihood of it. the only real security with credit cards is the fact that banks will work with you because entering in a bunch of numbers that always work for online payments will always be less secure than something that changes once a payment is done.

Cyrto needs ether to get some government regulation or legislation
I like to propose a complete ban on the field.

No, they are not.

Bank of America are positive on bitcoin but they haven’t started accepting it yet.

serious question, are you always drunk or something when you’re reading my posts?

I’m talking about the future when cryptocurrency becomes legit. Almost the entire post is me talking about when things get ironed out.

Cant’ believe people like these exist:

And why Gamers hate Minners

I’m going for the safe long term bet and jumping into Ripple, it’s the only crypto working with banks/governments :expressionless:

I want a damn intel octo core at a reasonable price too. Because it’s been WAY overdue for at least 1-2 years now. By now 1080’s should be close to $600 I mean damn.

Get AMD

Has anyone ever used anoncoin? Is it really anonymous?

On another note, bitcoin is kinda shitty. But Ethereum seems like it could work.

I like the unpredictable nature of these things, bc you can make money almost randomly. but ethereum can actually become a reasonable, stable, and fast currency. I’m investing in eth just because I believe in it as opposed to just trying to get money.

Nigga u owe me a t-shirt; just spilled some coffee laughing my ass off on that video. Holy shit my sides
BitConnnnnnNnnnnnnnNnnnNneeeEeeeEeccCcccccttTtt!!!

ethereum is way more than currency, its the total decentralization of the internet.

That video, what a load of crap.

A de-centralized socialist society driven by capitalistic ambitions?

50 Cent forgot he had a stash of Bitcoin now worth $8m

@“The Furious One” Yo Holmes… check em latest beats on the street.

I think eventually one of the cryptos will win out, but the more they sell it as though they are changing the world the more skeptical I become. Most of the time they sound like lunatic Ancaps. I do think if they are ever going to break into the mainstream they will need at least some type of centralization to ensure currency stability during exchanges. I would be willing to take crypto as payment if I could count on it not losing 30% of it’s value suddenly overnight. IMO whichever one of them creates a debit card/credit card equivalent will probably win the crypto war. Especially when you look at the rates some of those companies are charging for businesses to take their cards, that market is just begging for disruption.

I don’t understand how dark sakul thinks ethereum is supposed to be some socialist thing but then again, its dark sakul. the king of derp.

anyway, ethereum is interesting as a development platform because you could make a website where there’s no central server. this is good for net neutrality and with censorship. Ethereum is only partly a crypto, but rather a decentralization platform.

I think that once banks start working with cryptos we will see some kind of insurance for fluctuation in prices or something else. But yeah if cryptos are going to be mainstream it needs to be easy to use and stable. Right now the biggest benefit of cryptos is that its faster to do payments (unless you use bitcoin, because as far as I can tell bitcoin is trash). International payments are way easier with cryptos. Not even getting into sketchy shit, some people just have families in poorer countries where they want to send them money to help them.

Like I mentioned in the finance thread, Robinhood is jumping into Crypto.
