Best way to judge? Get the game (buy, rent, whatever)… try it, you don’t like it? Then yeah, it’s all good. I’ve never understood bashing a game pre-release.
Or you can support better games by buying better games, even if they aren’t made by Capcom.
Are you a sf4 fan?
I’m still here hardly a bounce. And I actually pointed out my concerns.
Sure playing is the best way to judge, but it’s not like one can’t get a grasp on the game by watching it for 30 hours in a week.
Not really.
what are you a fan of? fighting game wise?
I ask because I thought quicks made a good point about how it’s unfair to straight up say a game is ass based on the low-level play seen on Cross Assault but you, however, feel that low level play should be a good enough indicator of how good a game can be. I find this comment to be weird since I assume the majority of the members in this forum are big fighting game fans and care to view their favorite fighting games at the highest level. I can’t imagine anyone in this forum wanting to search up videos of D rank players online.
This can be applied to anything really. Would you judge a sport, say basketball, by watching a group of people who only played it for about a week, or would you judge it by watching the NBA?
The ranting thread is over yonder. It’s fine if you hate the game, but take it there instead of messing up unrelated discussion.
Get this thread back on track.
I…also question why a person who dislikes SFxT would watch a show dedicated to it. It seems…counterproductive.
IMO this game will look probably better when people stop using SF4 characters that are just shoehorned into the game awkwardly. Almost all of the Tekken dudes and some of the new SF dudes were actually made with the new mechanics in mind, and a lot more interesting because of that.
Though I still think the fact that easy chain series > launcher + slow movement is a bad combination, and is the reason timeouts are happening so often.
I “made” the avatar from a wallpaper. Do you want the avatar or the wallpaper?
you are judging the game by those matches at cross assault? because they were awfull, good matches are way more enjoyables.
Which is why I still plan on watching.
I don’t get how the team members can say, “I’m just doing what’s best for me,” while they voted Subz. Voting off your weakest player is exactly what you don’t want to do. Getting rid of better players increases your own chances of winning, because you don’t have to play against the better players.
Supposedly the Team SF coach had it in for Subs, he didn’t like him much, just a rumour that’s been floating around
You need to win the team challenges though, otherwise you end up not getting as much practice time, unable to use characters or the other team gets more practice time.
Well, he got put on blast yesterday by his team, and he folded like a house of cards, so I don’t know what to tell you. Also, his behavior on stream yesterday was as bad as anything Champ has ever done or been accused of doing, and Champ makes excuses after the fact, too, it’s just that people are going to be more forgiving of Rock because he is more popular with the internet FGC. Maybe we are talking about different things; you can’t really say ‘hate makes him stronger’ anymore after yesterday.
didn’t Valle team with Dr. Sub for EVO or something? Valle knew what he was doing and in the end, had to keep the team’s best interests at heart which was to win that $25k. only reason anyone ever wanted to join this silly show.
oh, and I hope the host gets fired after this because he’s doing a god awful job. let Max on the mic and have him ask the questions (yes I know he’s part of production but he would be a MUCH better choice for hosting this show).
edit: just looked it up, it was for SBO quals.
Yeah, I’m kind of salty Spooky isn’t getting more mic time to be honest. The whole format is so slapped together as well, it has been gone over but given the prize money you’d expect them to do a better job at organizing it… I’m part of the crowd that’s actually finding SxT interesting, that fact and Aris is the only reason I’m still watching, the whole “show” part of it is a joke.
Like 90% of his anti-air defense was trying to sweep jump-ins. That’s good anti-air defense for like… Dee Jay players.
Not this early in the game. They still have to compete with Team Tekken, which means they need their best players to stick around if they don’t want to lose all their elimination matches. So the winning strategy would be, use your strongest players to defeat the opposing team’s strongest players, and then cannibalize your strongest player once the external threat is gone, like Richard Hatch on Survivor.
Spooky and Max holding it down for commentary was a million times more entertaining and less painful to watch than the post-game “Salt Mines” interviews which are awkward as hell thanks to the dude’s hosting skills. “Alright, man…” as a response to Dr. freakin’ Sub-Zero putting you on blast for your interviewing skills (or lack thereof) making the interviews really awkward? c’mon man. geez. you’re the host, for crying out loud. stir shit up and don’t fish for questions from the damn interviewee.
edit: I think it was apparent how much Sub felt uncomfortable with the whole thing from the moment he wore the horse head in Day 1 for swearing. why would you put him in or at least not tell applicants that you can’t swear before the submission of applications? dude was doomed to be eliminated from the moment they picked him, rust from lack of practice and all.
