The Cooking Thread: Pics or you didn't make it

Your presentation is excellent - really, really nice. Maybe a bit too much going on there but I would still devour it all like it was Tuesday.

On a side note, I just picked up my Kuhn Rikon Duromatic pressure cooker. Oh, Lord, this thing is a work of art.

Portuguese rolls with the edges and top/bottoms removed.

Yayyyyy!

Thanksgiving leftovers?

Please, PLEASE one of you be near my workplace so I can murder you and take your delicous food.

Didn’t bother making Thanksgiving dinner this year, feels like a “going through the motions” type task more than anything IMO. Christmas dinner on the other hand…

Look for a massive pic dump on December 16.

made some cookies yesterday. Double Chocolate Crinkle cookies:

kinda puffy when they first come out of the oven:

closeup of one after it’s cooled a bit:

Butter Chicken Lasagna. You have no idea how delicious this is.

I’ll take pics next time I cook it (seeing as my friends and I fucking annihilated it)

Anyone got some good dishes with bacon as the main ingredient? Tired of my same old bacon fried rice and bacon pasta

the weather has been nice recently, so I took advantage of it and busted out the smoker. Did some sausages and chicken

idk…

I haven’t tried this but it at least looks good…

One of the very very few dope things I found on 4chan…

I made meatless chili this weekend with butternut squash and blackbean. It was way too spicy for me, going to try and ‘water’ it down by using the leftovers for chili dogs and potato skins.

I also made veggia lasagna last night. Eggplant, zucinni, mushrooms, cut up peppers, ricotta, goat cheese, mozzarella, ready made pasta, oh and carrots. I made one with a red sauce (Newman’s fire roasted & garlic…very meaty flavor) and the other with a white sauce.

while not food, it’s cooking related. If you’re kinda nuts like me, then you might be interested in a Thermapen. It’s a high end thermometer that is often used in the food industry. Supposed to be very accurate and very fast. They’re having an open box sale: http://www.thermoworks.com/products/thermapen/splashproof_thermapen_open_box_sale_2013.html

just got mine, shit looks brand new:

Let me know how accurate it is and what you think please… seriously. I was was looking some to replace my temp checker (the old style poke an read…non digital)…

hell i gotta get back in my kitchen an get back to my serious dishes… been slackin lately due to work an other things :frowning:

I have a Thermapen. Get one.

Will do, once I cook something again I’ll let you know, though reviews for this guy are amazing so I doubt mine will be any different.

I used the thermapen today, super fast and seemed very accurate to me. I love it.<br>
