Anyone have a solid combo for the incoming unblockable if you they decide to be hit by your lock down move?
That would depend on the lockdown assist in question. Tenderizer? Cold Star?
IIRC, I think you can just release the Demon Missile early before the lockdown assist stops hitting, then combo afterwards. The damage would be scaled, though.
If they take the hit, you can’t build a full bar solo. He’s asking if anyone has found a combo that does build a full bar if they decide to take the hit from Tenderizer.

Does anyone have any setups on characters that can fly/double jump. I usually do air bon voyage and then air grab them if they advance guard. I’m settled with my new team FB/Doom/Ammy, had to drop Dorm and Sent, missiles/beam and coldstar assist too good lol .
Firebrand and Sentinel need bathrobe alts.
But then Firebrand wouldn’t be nude. Sent on the other hand would be amusing.
I’ve been using b, u/b, b+A. I don’t know if that’s any better because my hands are too stupid to get more than 2 fireballs out of that. I forget how Zak said he did it. He described it once last year when he was at the FGTV house before EVO
I TK heavy helevator then tap back, however I only use this at midrange to w medium fireball for mixups and hard tags. Try it out, hopefully it’ll help?
Anyone find any unblockable setups with Doom? I’ve seen one with missiles, but have not seen one for anything else.
You can also set one up with Molecular Shield, but the timing is REALLY strict. And compared to other lockdown assists, it’s not too difficult to escape. Plus you then lose Missiles (arguably the best assist in the game) or Plasma Beam (probably Firebrand’s best assist in general).
Gentlemen. I have found a double over head with Firebrand.
jL as if you are doing an instant overhead. Cancel with Hell’s Dive M and land with jM or jL into a cL. Double overhead!
Hey guys I have a FT15 coming up with another top NC player named Jon Slayton.
I’ve played this guy a lot but does anyone have any tips for fighting Zero/Dante/Strider?
The obvious one of snap in Strider and make sure he’s dead.
I dont have the game in hands atm so i’ll ask:
can you flame loop with bv>hard tag?
Its gonna be really tough, because his team just straight up counters Firebrand IMO. But what I do against Zero’s when I play Zero is I do alot of wall cling straight into Fireballs. He has to blow his buster to get through that. When he starts advancing on the ground, you can go for a hit.
Also, plasma beam blows up alot of stuff Zero wants to do. If you don’t play it, you should learn.

Kill Shady’s Vergil. That’s the only practical advice I can give.
Call Shady a “washed-up motherfucker” to his face to psyche him out.
Not sure if this is the place for this and people probably already know because it’s obvious but Firebrand can beat the “mash TAC+hidden missile assist OS” if you do the correct TAC bait reset.
After the final launch of your combo and you reset with j.L, do a delayed j.H into Bon Voyage, land, dash backwards, st.H, cr.H, S, SJ forwards into the combo of your choice and you should avoid all the missiles.
What do you guys do if the other player tech rolls forward out of the corner after a knockdown? I remember watching a stream with apologyman, and someone rolled forward out of tenderizer and got thrown, and ShadyK said you can’t forward roll out of tenderizer against firebrand, so I’m assuming there was some trap or option select involved.
