Azu573 released a second NBC combo video. It still doesn’t explain how they set up those double character things, but they have a bunch of cool applications.

DeepTheater is somehow affiliated with kysg and they just released some video of Nina doing random shit in training mode. I don’t understand what’s going on but i’m sure there’s something impressive about it.
Nothing much to post about today. ComboVideos has a couple of ancient CvS2 combo videos posted on GameCombos back in the day, but they are ghetto as all hell compared to what we know about the game today (or even a couple of months after those vids were released). Go check them out for the nice editing if you’re really bored.
There’s some random cool non-game stuff to check out though. First off, the trailer for X-Men: The Last Stand (the third X-Men movie) was just released.
trailer page: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/tls/trailer
(if you don’t have quicktime, the download is free, but make sure to look for the standalone version so that you don’t wind up with itunes on your computer)
Also, the fourth and final episode of the KoF Another Day anime series was just released. It’s basically a promotional marketing thing for KoF:MI2, but it’s kinda cool during the action parts. It’s too bad that they don’t bother to resolve anything. Nobody actually wins a fight because they don’t want to commit to making anyone lose a fight.
SRK thread: http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103836
(look through the thread for download links to each of the four episodes if you missed any, along with fan-subtitled versions cuz they are in Japanese language)
Don’t want to be too obnoxious, here, but I’ve got a few updates on matchpile that I guess you hadn’t seen yet, or couldn’t be bothered with. So, everybody check it out. Thanks for the links! I’m going to repost that last one, now. Not much Dragonuv, tho. Maybe if he was more goth-loli.
KabukiMono:
Actually, TekkenZaibatsu has a really impressive system of handling video news. If you just scroll down their main page, they list announcements under “Recent Web Video Releases” by date. In fact i just saw a cool Eddy/Christie combo video highlighting their flashy breakdancing moves. I always kinda wished someone would make a video showing them just doing moves for the style of it, because their combo videos never seem to utilize their more visually impressive moves. (Yes, i’m requesting videos of people mashing on kicks with Eddy, haha.)
That Terry player was really fun to watch, but he deserved to lose for fucking up all those chances to land his super - especially the low short, low short super at the end.
I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this yet (maybe KabukiMono), but the 3S matches on Game41 are pretty fucking good. In the middle of the Dudley vs Makoto match on the second vid, Dudley parries some jump-in attack and does antiair F+MK xx DP xx super. It looks tight plus does a lot of damage. Also, in the last vid towards the end, the second round of Urien vs Ken is hella exciting. Urien basically rushes Ken down, gets him cornered, and does Aegis but Ken refuses to die. He’s standing pixels away from Aegis and somehow manages to hit Urien like four times and land c.MK xx super as Aegis is disappearing. A couple of more seconds into the match, Ken pulls the most bullshit clutch uppercut ever to trade with Aegis (way in Ken’s favor). It comes down to the very end but Urien clutches it out. That Ryu player in the beginning of the third vid is pretty damn scary too.
You should probably look through ComboVideos because they have a whole bunch of XSF vids they regularly update. Other than that, i don’t think anyone really covers that game anymore outside of random combo vids.
Yeah there is always interesting things going on in those game41 matches.
Just a quick update.
Crazyasskim updated again, with a match between Kitnii (a-geese guy) and good old D44.
Also a match between Desora (GOOO RAIDEN ICHIBAN!) and some other K-groove guy, pretty good matches in general so go check those out. http://www.crazyasskim.com
Pyro beasted as usual, but there were still lots of new guys.
J.R. fucking owned in one round. The finish was nice. Makoto 100% stun combo, and anti-poke s.HP into combo was sweet. Was that the lucky charms or some swank anticipation?? haha
kysg just released a Samurai Shodown Tenka combo video (probably like 10 minutes ago). Haha, i check that website way too often. Anyway i’ve never played the game but i’ll let you guys know what i think when it’s done downloading.
Edit: Looks like a whole bunch of link-based infinites. Hitstun lasts forever in SamSho games. Maybe someone can point out the exceptional/impressive ones.
Most of them seem to be “attack from behind” combos. It seems hit stun last long, when the opponent gets hit in the back. SS4 use to let you hit the opponent with any attack after pushing them to the back. SamSho games after that only let you do one knock down slash moves.
So, the combo creator probably had the practice dummy do a taunt to allow him to attack the dummy’s rear.
But I see Amakusa still has the infinite hit corner combo loop from SS4 involving the electric ball, but he has to be at Green bar and only at 1% life in Ken groove.
