It’s not even that magus. I just don’t understand how company like rock and republic can price they’re jeans higher then top japanese companys. The quality is sub par and def. not worth the $300 price tag. It’s just as bad as Ed Hardy and is only popular because it’s hyped up and worn by celebrities. If i’m laying down 300 dollars i want it to be the look good and have great quality. You just don’t feel that with brands like rock and republic. Don’t get me wrong though, no hate. Wear whatever the hell you like, i just don’t support the brand nor can i see how anyone else can.
Im not gonna get into this argument, but ask yourself,what is “quality”? You’ll find that it’s a very small reason something is priced, it’s more about exclusivity, price points to consumers and the name behind it.

When it comes to denim there’s actually a lot to say about quality. I had several pairs of jeans from rock and republic but not others so i can only attest for that brand, and yes, it lacks quality. The denim is extremely light and feels way too thin. Being so light, they’re not very durable and rip quite easily. You can’t wear them excessively because of this. You get no custom fades whatsoever which totally kills the purpose of denim for me. Also, There’s no slubs at all on the jeans, which makes me feel like there’s something left out. Remember, all this is a matter of my opinion. Like i said earlier, wear whatever you want too. It’s not that serious, but imo to say that the quality in selvage denim and rock and republic is a small difference is just silly. GET SILLY!!
Your talking more about your personal taste than actual quality. Being light and prone to ripping doesnt neccisarily equal bad quality. I could say that most raw is bad quality because its too heavy and the more I wear them the more I look like a slob. I have many pieces of clothing that are very thin and prone to be destroyed if I wear them mulitple times a month, but they are in my eyes very much worth the money. If how heavy something is and how durrable something is equalls quality, you should probably not be looking for fashionable clothes.
I’m sorry but if i pay 300 dollars for something and it rips, then it’s bad quality. There’s no way you can say jeans accidentally ripping within a month equals good quality. I sure as hell don’t want to pay all that money to have my denim ripped with holes in it in a matter of months.
