I bought The UNLV I posted a couple pages back from flightclub when they were at their old location. Then I went to DQM and realized I overpaid by like $20.00.
The store was real corny playing 93’ Wu tang (how predictable) blunt employees, and never go with a female or you will hear “OMG 2000.00 for shoes” until you leave NYC…
If you start collecting J’s I would recommend going to issforums, thats the place where you would least likely get raped at.
I know y’all aren’t big into skate culture, but I saw these shoes and just wanted to see what your opinion was about them. Personally, I think they are dope as hell and I’ll probably buy them when I get home from work.
and here comes a long post, I gaurantee its a good read though
I guess this can segway into my new found displeasure of hypebeast. Their community is real wack and elitist. Most of the users are a bunch of blind followers, excluding a few…and even then they can be :lame:.
My last straw was when I was browsing the WDYWT Thread (which is where a good 80% of hypebeast’s problems come from btw) this one cat posts a picture of himself with a t-shirt and a lightweight scarf…then this other nigga quotes and comments on the picture “aint it a little hot for a scarf” and procedes to post a picture of himself in a wool flannel. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE apparently is not a little hot to dress like Paul Bunyon in the summer when its trendy I guess.:lame:
I think hypebeast is a prime example of what was wrong with streetwear from the start (and by start I do mean 2005, not the fucking early 90’s like they want to make you believe). A select group of companies make a set of T-shirts and say they support a lifestlye **WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS LIFESTYLE? BLACK/ASIAN SKATERS? WHITE GUYS THAT LIKE METAL AND HIP-HOP? EATING AT RESTAURANTS AND TAKING PICTURES OF THE MESS YOU JUST MADE? GOING TO PARTIES HOSTED BY 30 YEAR OLDS? **:lame:
No one fucking knows because these activities are vague, no one cared to answer the question so now this “lifestyle” turned into tween males hating on each other…over the internet…every-fucking-day. All they know is that whatever it is you gotta be elite and you gotta be selective.:lame:
Cats working at Supreme treat niggas like shit every day yet people complain about how LRG don’t make clothes for skaters any more. In actuality they are just catering to the people who fully embraced them (aka, niggas), LRG blew the fuck up the minute 1 or 2 black dudes started rocking them in their highschool and LRG is showing appreciation.
Final tidbits-I don’t hate niggas for wearing certain brands, I hate niggas who hate others for not dressing just like them. I personally dont support Abercrombie because of their racist history but Im not going to knock a nigga who wears it, its not my money.
This is too true. Hypebeast is exactly what the name implies, all hype. Too many blind followers acting like elitest because they can conform with the everyone else. An example would be that pinrolling shit, i’m not even going to go further on that.
Shhiiittt…i work at an Ambercrombie (eww) in a city where blacks/latinos are the majority race and they’re still racist. I have no idea how i’m even working there.
i go to dennys…but i dont take pictures, i eat. i just got into dunks a while ago and im already noticing how whack some of the “kicks knowledgeable” folks act. i dig street fashion, but i dont ever act like i know what im talking about because i dont want to be considered guilty by association:tdown:
hmm ive seen a few of these polo collars. Im assuming these are the ones that is pretty large collar?
Great looking shoes go for it.
:shake: as many reports that was done regarding them it is just sad. I think i stepped in the store once and thats it. At times hollister can be a racist too
^yeah, im not one for hollister, but i walk in with my fair complexioned friends, and id get stared down by all the employees…one time this chick kept asking me if i needed assistance,(cuz thats what retail employees do if they think youre trying to steal), and i got pissed,(but she was hot as fuck), so i finally told her yeah, you can help me, but it doesnt have anything to do with the store, she looked like a tomato, and went somewhere, i thought it was to get her manager, so i walked out. kohl’s, FTW!
Thank God I found this thread I’ve been trying to find a T-Shirt to match up with this sneakers but still haven’t found anything close to looking good, I was wondering if anybody in the thready can help me out on this.
Also yeah, Hollister is just as racist as Ambercrombie, they’re both part of the same company. They hire people based on there appearance, and are quick to reject you if your fat and/or ugly. It’s a horrible place with some of the stupidest employees ever. In my store they encourage you to “goof off” a little because working hard doesn’t look cool and looking cool is what the brand is about. I hate my job…
Santa Ana streetwear brand “Triumvir” has collaborated with **Capcom ** to celebrate the upcoming release of “Street Fighter IV”. This will be a limited drop of a shirt/fitted cap based on Dictator/M. Bison’s insignia. Previews of the pieces will be coming soon…
