That’s kind of silly. The wash should be raw. The cut should be one that fits your body type. Brands are similar but not exactly the same. Quality is important but so is material and craftsmanship and where it comes from.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong personally with cheap jeans but when you get into more expensive ones, then I’m a lot more critical.
Macy’s has large selection of Levi’s, although the Levi’s Store is still the best bet. Urban Outfitters carry some, but I really haven’t seen big selections in most of the stores I’ve visited.
its hard to make a case for raw being the only one. often ow has very little difference from raw. and most people can fit a few different cuts. also not sure why u counter-pose quality with martial and craftsmanship when imo they both make up the term itself…silly me.
A thread I like. I was on Zara’s site and I hate that they don’t have online shopping because the Zara at the mall in Jersey never has what I want; it’s always the one in NY and I hate catching the train.
They have some really great men’s clothing too, which I was oblivious to until recently, if you guys are interested.
First shoes made of wool I’ve ever seen in my life and they look pretty good. I saw these at a nearby Vans store and they’re $75. These’ll go perfectly with my wool peacoat.
Does anybody here who has ever bought OTW shoes can attest to the quality?
I like Zara style but quality isn’t that great. I bought a bag from Zara and after having it for about 2-3 months…
-A zipper fell off
-The clip that keeps it closed fell off
-This rubber stuff that was on the edges of the leather parts of the strap started coming off
I still rock it every once in a while because none of the damage is very noticeable, although be wary to people who are stoked on the price. I was also sad because my friend brought me a charm from korea that was attached to the zipper and it was lost.
I do have a vest that I got from Zara that I like a lot though.
I see. I don’t really like H&M, though. I’ve bought some tees and scarves from them before, but I’m personally not thrilled on the whole budget clothing concept when it comes to jeans, khakis, cut & sew, etc.
Isn’t the NY store the quintessential Uniqlo location? IIRC it’s bigger than their main flagship store in Japan, but I could be wrong.
I heard its the best uniqlo period from someone who has visited the stores in Japan and NY. Would you mind doing a small pick up for me? :wonder:
I like Zara more than H&M but I know how you feel. I think its a store where you have to buy in store so you can check out the quality yourself beforehand. Outside of basics, you gotta be pretty skeptical with budget clothing. Still though, me and everyone I know who has bought coats from Zara seemed pretty pleased with them.
yeah i didn’t mean it like that. I just prefer raw over one wash because I love the stiff cardboard feel. I think like most of the big name brands have good craftsmanship but some models still fail because of the material they used. Its usually pretty rare but it does happen. You are right though as they do go hand in hand.
I’m also pretty sure Uniqlo NYC as mentioned before is a good store and one of their flagships.
I go to a automobile tech school, & I notice a lot of car guys rock domestic redneck NASCAR stuff. I hate nascar but I lack any car gear, so Im ordering a nice all black HKS pit crew shirt and some matching chinos.
Doernbecher III was here, then gone. I was so sure I had it, too, sigh. I need to step up my online checkout skills. It would be a lot easier if Nike.com let you save credit card info to your profile.
I guess I can still try heading out to Nike Town at dawn, but it’s cold as hell. I did it for Space Jams last year, but I don’t think I need to have these THAT bad.
