=/ yeah sure guy…
I thinking about the marc ecko cut n sew issh.
I can’t take this thread seriously with the links on the front page. I know this forum has a certain demographic on it though so it makes sense.
Tell that to debs, not me. Also to be fair, that OP hasn’t been updated for almost 2 years. Fashion moves fast, and so does our tastes. Do you dress exactly the same way or buy the exact same brand of clothes you did two years ago? Most people that check the thread probably don’t look at the OP anyway (sorry if that is a shit excuse, but I don’t know what else could be said about it).
Also, I don’t really know what you mean by ‘certain demographic.’ But if you mean urban streetwear, you are correct in a sense. Since I’m from the heart of Chi, debs is from Brooklyn, and many others that post in this thread are from the metropolitan area. Coincidentally, streetwear, jeans and sneakers is something easier to generate discussion with others since it has wider common focal point than most other styles of clothing.
Do you seriously think this thread would be better off if people talked about Jeremy Scott’s runway shows instead?
And most of us know how to dress-up. I just got off my work in the whole 2-button business casual look head to toe. I really care about what I wear at work and formal events as well. But considering that I wear that stuff 5 days a week, they’re just not something exciting enough to talk about most of the time. Now I’m gonna wind down and go out with my APC + tee + retro J + snapback + G-Shock look to enjoy myself, and if you still have problems with that dunno what to tell ya.

Back on topic: Apparently, 21 Mercer is closed now cus of bedbugs too… just a week after Nike Town in NY closed down (which I think is temporary?).
D’Nyc3: I have no idea if this KD3 will ever be released, but thought you might care.
Those Levi’s 501 posted up there look really ugly I think. I don’t get the “white paint” splatters.
The black and white ones are gross but Im down with the funky ones all the way. I know I could pull them shits off. Im going to have to get em sent to a friend in Japan to get em tho. Stupid website doesnt deliver outside Japan.
Forgot about this thread. I’ll be back in the fall. But ill leave you with this:
Get up on the Android Homme sneakers early while theyre still white hot. I see them becoming the next Creative Reaction.
Im gonna cop that pair of teal/gold ones tomorrow afternoon.
Yea im passing on those
hmm…i’m not necessarily into the same types of things that i was into 2 or 3 years ago…and i would imagine that i’m not the only person that feels that way.
it is my fault for not updating the original post but to be honest, i forgot that there were links in the original post. i haven’t checked the first page of the thread in a long time.
since the thread is three years old, rather than update the original post with new links, i’ll just create a new thread. i was trying to wait til 1/1/11, tho.
Yo where do the short guys (5’5-5’8) buy their button ups???
I have a BoO shirt in small that probably shrank a little in a wash, and it’s the perfect length (27") for untucked wear. Anyone like those Epaulet shirts? Thanks buddies.
I don’t think you necessarily need to update the first page. I mean, it’s nice you had links in the first place, but this thread was never necessarily a street wear thread, or any type of fashion in specific. Just discussion I thought…
man don’t sweat this ass. Dude is acting mad uppity like he too good to post here.
Ok back. Sooner than I said I would be. I hop on Karmaloop first time in months and see a few eye catching designs.
Crooks n Castles Carnaby Jacket

This looks exactly like a print that Versace used several seasons ago. Its also reservable, but the other side isnt nearly as interesting. Im gonna look for this tomorrow in some boutiques, only deal-breaker might be if this feels like that cheap windbreaker material.
I still dont have a denim jacket. 10xDeep has a really nice one with a worn wash that looks better than the ones I seen in UO and Gap.

Supra Skytop II > Skytop. The new silhouette is so much more flattering and doesnt look like you have elephant feet.

ill just take pics of whatever i buy tomorrow
Nope, jeremy scott is celebrity fashion therefore totally irrelevant to me as I highly am against designers like him. That’s why I made the comment about TR jeans, and shit because I oppose clothing that has been popularized by celebrities.
I mean to be honest, though my aesthetic is too out there for me to even be posting here. However, I respect yours as well. I mean thank god you said APCs because those are legitimately some of the best jeans out there. I think initially I vomited in my mouth for some other brands mentioned a few pages back.
Also, yah a large part of this thread seems to be devoted to urban streetwear. I actually don’t value that type of footwear at all cuz it doesn’t look good on me, but nor do I have an interest.

I think the most important thing is for someone to find their aesthetic. Even though we may have changed every few years I think its important to find what works for us, and not to be changing simply because society begs of it (trends). I mean we are probably all at that stage where we are cultivating our aesthetic I’m guessing since we are mostly in our 20s here.
I think a new thread would be cool to be honest.
I admit my first post was douchy because I felt like trolling, but since I’m getting sincere responses I’m changing up. I just don’t hold anything posted, and talked about here in high regard, though. As arrogant as that may sound/be whatever.
Also, that carnaby jacket is hideous
I am sad that I can’t get the pants I wanted. So in substitute I decided to buy more 7’s
I also am getting these
YESSTYLE: Portfranc- Washed Baggy Jeans - Free International Shipping on orders over $150
YESSTYLE: RORO- Washed Skinny Jeans - Free International Shipping on orders over $150
YESSTYLE: Newyorkhomme- Straight-Cut Jeans - Free International Shipping on orders over $150
Gotta say, Japan designers know just how to do them wash jeans. And make pairs that are just way out there… which I like.
it says those are korean
either way
Okay. I’m just getting into boat shoes now. I need something besides the NY essential (Clark Wallys) so can anyone suggest things to go with Sperry’s Topsiders? I’m thinking a khaki or gray chino. Any good pants with back flaps on pockets? I love those. I also prefer Sperry over Sebago and cloth over leather.
two blogs i fk with:
