HAHA!
Only posting this because it is my team. Incredibly unfeasible in a match but still quite funny.

He could have gotten more damage at the end, but this is Chun’s section – I can’t reveal my Juri secrets here XD

Endless/Ranked matches from XBL

Posted these over in the Juri section for Juri pointers - figured I’d post them over on the Chun side as well.
Feel free to leave feedback; we’ve gotta get the Chun section active again…
I’m sticking with this game even known so many hate it – I have no desire to go back to SSF4 like many have.

(obviously I’m using Chun Li and Juri)

Does anybody know how to get more than 493 damage out of a combo ending with Senretsukyaku?

Of course, there are a few different ways to do it.

I’ve noted several in the combo section but the only one I find slightly useful in match is:
J. Hk, Cl.st Hk xx Ex Kikouken - St. Mp xx SA = 521 (do St. Mp > St. Hk xx SA for a bit more)

However, if I were going to use three bars I’d use Chun to start off a Cross Art (500+ no problem), combo into a switch cancel and let Juri do an SA (550+ no problem).
For example: in the corner if you land a Cl.st HK xx Ex Kikouken, St. Mp xx Hk LLegs ~ Mk extended does 400, you can swtich canel here — or—You can continue off HK extending LLegs with Cr. Lk into cross rush – course you can cancel the cross rush with another Ex Kikouken and practically loop the combo into your partner for a nice finish

Certainly informative, though it’s a tad disappointing that you can’t really break the 500 barrier without using three bars of Cross Gauge. Thanks for the information! Unfortunately, the combo demonstrated in my video can only be canceled into Super Art. Attempting a Cross Art simply triggers a Cross Rush tag-in. Oh well. Back to square one.

Got a guide and combos for Chun-Li for Beginners:

nice vid:tup:
1 thing about the ex-hazanshu though, in the corner you can follow-up with a standing reset after it ( cl. st MK), pretty usefull if you wanna keep the pressure on.
Sometimes worth the bar imo.

definately an older vid – valmaster is probably the best Chun Li in 'xTK’
He plays well in this video but actually has better bouts saved on my xbox.
what I like the most about his play is he doesn’t use Chun like a bitch - cough justin wong cough-
everything he does with Chun he could do with Guile, Sim, Sagat and Sakura.
Valmaster actually ‘plays’ Chun Li and has shown me some cool rush down and helped me develop my own in the process same goes for ISM DC
most pro players using Chun just have her LLegs tag out or do a launcher as quick as possible to get Rufus back in
I laugh so hard when I see someone do a cross rush with rufus bring chun in and do another launcher just to get Rufus in when Chun has full health.
and what the hell? Rufus - always Chun and Rufus.
Juri and Chun do way more damage.

Where have you been? You should vid and post those replays.

I took a little hiatus from SfxTk came back just before the DLC hit, now I’m playing it more reguarly again – though not taking it as seriously as I originally intended.
I’m super critical of the gameplay vids I post of myself, mostly saving them for self analysis and I’ll only upload them if I play
A) play a solid opponent
B) play exceptionally well - zero execution errors etc.,
C) If people actually watched it and learned something.

partially why I stopped was the inactivite status of this section. I kept up with the Juri section, but it has since gone the way of dead as well.
I’d be more than happy to share info though if you are interested and want to PM me.
I’d also make a Chun vid if I knew people would care – but honestly this is the most discussion her section has had since you posted back in August!
at any rate I’m still running Chun and Juri (obviously)
Chun is so well balanced (not strong or top tier, but really well-rounded)
Juri is capable of heavy rush-down
they are dangerous to jump on and work really well together making them just too fun to ever quit on.
still need Lk HSU as an overhead as well as Cr. Mk hit box fixed – probably never happen if with a completely game overhaul
but as it is - the team is sick (so long as they quit nerfing Juri for NO reason)

I miss you uploading, you need to up newer SF4 content as well.

I only post SFxT vids as I find them on my YT subscriptions these days. Not enough players here to keep it afloat here. SF4 is the better and more widely played game, and I feel Tekken Tag 2 U is gonna deal XT the deathblow for sure.

I have no doubts in my mind that a lot of XTK players are going to migrate over to TT2 even if for only a bit.
I’ll migrate to DOA5 and it’ll take people away from X Tk as well
you could be right about the deathblow – its sad, really is.
I’ve come to accept the game and enjoy playing it, however one can’t deny the negativity surrounding it.
biggest thing I think was the on disc DLC, sure it felt like a beta release but that was sort of the big twist of the knife.
I’ve not bought the DLC and won’t really for that fact.

Anyway – back on Chun Li, if anyone does happen to see this aside from 4Neqs and myself (lol!)
and want me to share some Chun stuff (I’ve got nothing like a super ultra fantastical tech or anything) but I’ve played her sense day 1 and have figured out a lot of cool tricks and such of which I’ll be happy to share if you ask kindly or if you want to play some games let me know that too.

EDIT And I’ll upload a few fights, because 4Neqs is feeling deprieved, lol!

Kazuya and Jin:

Other than missing the Juri’s jump cancel combo in the first round (something easily missed in the slightest lag – gurr lag!) I feel strongly that Chun and Juri are very anti-Kazuya, Jin and Heihachi. Especially Juri they just can’t do anything against her.

Important note is seeing how Chun’s A/As can trade against Kazuya jump-ins.

Guile and Law:

Guile’s recovery still pisses me off – I played really stupid with Juri early.

Video shows a really nice example of how these two work well together @ 1:06 – Chun’s SA was supposed to come out but glad it didn’t, I think Law falls out mid-screen with that setup.

Another good example of team “corner pressure” is at the end of the video. With Senpusha on block you can lock your opponent setting up a great high-low or low- high opportunity for Chun Li, same goes with Chun’s LLegs and Juri’s overhead, which I have in another vid.

Akuma and Sagat:

Note Chun’s Cl. St. Hk Jump cancel cross up. Use this with Cr. Lp, Cl. St. Hk as well – substitute in Lk Hsu or LLegs to mix it up the potential of Cl St Hk cannot be stressed enough.

Combo at 1: 12 is an ideal punish and can easily do 450 damage

Kazuya and Lars:

Nearly half of Kazuya life is gone so easy thanks to Chun’s reach and cross rush into Juri whose cross-ups anti-airs and rush down is too sick! MWAHAHA!

It’s a team game – use your team to the fullest and never let your opponent breathe or give them the chance to use their partner.

Cody and Ryu:

Cody is pretty easy to deal with mind his lows and raw launch them – some players like to do the cute jump back forth thing on wake up, EX SBK beats it all day, or just block correctly.

Forward MK of Chun’s @ 1:02 why? Because it moves her so far forward and rewarded me great spacing, also it has a slow start up but good hit box at least I’ve never had it trade much.

Wrong button a few times – should have used Cross-Art against Ryu in the corner and Cr. Hp with Juri punishing Ryu’s DP was way poorly spaced– DOH!

Any questions hit me up!

One video to upload mostly for the few new people that have been posting recently.
Execution was terrible in spots even though the match was a little laggy and clearly ate a few of my inputs – I won’t use that as an excuse. Still played pretty well and most importantly played smart.

Versus Ken and Kazuya

Notes:
Chun’s best way around fireballs is demonstrated early on. Cr. Mp goes under all shoto fireballs.
Due to her floaty jump and HSU sometimes being hit out the air by fireballs make a risk to go offensive unless your spacing is spot on and catch your opponents in recovery

Juri’s moves were getting lost in lag something fierce from her Cr. Mk that didn’t come out to her Fuhajin that didn’t come out but that is how it goes.
Still a good finish to Round 1 demonstrating how Chun’s Cl. Stl Hk can be utilized

Round 2 – NEVER ever do the Super Art combo I did mid screen, I don’t know what I was thinking - Cl. St Hk xx SA will fall out on several cast members so if you go for this most use Cr.Mk xx SA instead.
This was just me being lazy and auto piloting
at the end I thought it was funny I didn’t get the xJCx from Juri’s Ex Senpusha tag in. After going back and look at the inputs I only did one Mk and not two – more autopilot/lazy moments

SOO Many chances to finish the fight but failing to do so. sure it was laggy but damn…

Juri contributed more in the win here, but here’s a match involving a Juri/Chun-Li team.

How? Chun netted both rounds by dealing the important damage.

Is that just the video, or was that horrible lag?

I may be in SF4 mode here, but it just seemed like a lot of jumping around and doing unsafe things and hoping that something hit.

That is a replay, so probably my PC slowed down at some parts while I’m running FRAPS. There’s no lag during the match as far as I’m concerned.

My lack of familiarization in fighting another Juri kind of affected my play especially after getting hit with those dive kicks, which helps Chun-Li control the rest of the match. When I watched the video more, I realized that Juri only did boost combos all throughout the match. My bad.

There’s also a certain move Chun-Li has that I’ve mistaken as a launcher and then she follow-up with a Tenshokyaku. Is the move in 2:48 a launcher or just a kick? I see the water effects, so I’ve mistaken it as one. If it’s a launcher, then I didn’t know that it can be followed up with a Tenshokyaku.
