hey if you guys start guilty gear later at like 10 I can make it, its up to you, i work till 9:30 but im not closing so i wont have to stay late, i can get there in a half hour no problem, if whoever is running it is willing to do this post here and call me and let me know so I know to come, I guess I could stop by after work anyway but id rather have someone call me if they are gonna change it
Let me just throw this out there, I’m not a gamer…there are certain games I like and a few i love, but i suck at them all =) I’m not interested in joining up in a team or participating in tournaments , just heard about this MB and thought it’d be a cool place to DISCUSS video games. I’m not trying to come off like a b*tch or act like I’m “too good” to try to meet up and set up play days.
I’m not saying anything bad or anything against anyone , but i have a life outside of my interest in video games but to some people on here me not taking more action to make contacts and meet up has me coming across as someone trying to fool people or act like i’m a girl when I’m really a guy lol I’ve been getting all kinds of random “flaming” from a thread i made, which let me be the first to say doesn’t bother me. But to my fellow Chicagoians, I’d like to clear the air…
Basically, I’m 20, I have a boyfriend( I’m not on here trying to hook up) and i have several interests and hobbies. I LOVE chatting and talking with new people, and would espcially like to chat with some of you who share one interest of mine ; video games.
If anyone is interested or wouldn’t mind me just pming them from time to time maybe just to ask a dumb question or just to say hello then let me know =)
to add…all I’m looking for is conversation. I don’t know the intricate details of the gaming world. I don’t know all the combo’s and best character’s to play with or any of that. There are plenty of people here who do though and maybe as i play more and get more into it I’ll want to learn from those people and try to take gaming to that next level. But for now, video games is something that happens every other weekend for me. But it is fun and interesting when it does happen and i thought this would be a good place to share that lol but maybe you have to be seriously into gaming to converse here on this MB, I don’t know, doesn’t really matter, just wondering.

I can’t make it to the tourney, George, if nickels wasnt so far away and if i wasn’t running a T5 tourney today at the HIP i would probably show up…i predict that we’re gonna have more people than we should, so its gonna take a hella long time on one machine. I would probably go since im back home for the next 2 weeks, but yea…sorry…T5 is taking over my gaming life…

I’d invite all you guys and gals down here to Odyssey Fun World for a mini tourney or something. But considering you can’t move right on the left stick and left on the right stick on the X-Men Vs. Street Fighter and Maver Vs. Capcom 2 machines (Both put in Alpha 2 cabinets…)

Mvc2 for 75 cents is ludicrous and anyone who pays that to play is a fool. Not that I play it anymore anyways, so more power to you.
Theres a Johnny player from New Orleans in town, me and Dennis played him a bit a few dsys ago, his Johnny is pretty good. He wants to play most of the Chicago players so I am going to have a gathering at my house probably either Monday or Tuesday depending on whats better for most of you. Let me know if you are interested in coming and when you could go.
