yea… my very first match of the tournament was on the stream and I was a bit nervous. I wasnt expecting to be on the stream but they told me 30 seconds before my match. The Guy player I lost too was pretty good but I made tons of execution mistakes. I did beter later on. I went 3 and 3 in my pool so at least I beat some people lol. I just started playing Rose not too long ago so I still have some things to learn but its all good.?
GGA update: I just turned off all the post processing effects on the SSF4’s monitor. Seems to have helped a bit.
Turns out there’s a group of people who want the convex buttons in ssf4. Doc is probably just going to build hot swappable control panels to bounce between happ and Sanwa parts.
Edit: the old 33" monitor from the ssf4 setup is a CGA monitor. I just checked it.
well technically the sanwas are convex. but if they mean happ convex then I guess I’ll need to talk to doc about the design specs then and see if we can coordinate something while working on the control panel.
for the monitor then I guess you just need a NTSC to CGA/RGB converter.

New terminology has surfaced in light of recent events. Normally, after a match it is custom to say GG or something along those lines.
However, at Galloping Ghost Arcade, if someone just walks away after losing a match (or even a round) of a game simply because everything is set on free play and they can just move on to another game, it’s called a “GGA.”

talked to doc, he said he got the sanwa parts in for SSF4 and he’s willing to do it. Its just a matter of finding the time. Though he wasn’t big on the idea of people plugging in their own sticks to the arcade since he wants to simulate the vintage arcade experience. Didn’t really get an idea of what he has planned for that SSF4. He didn’t really mention anything about hot swapping kinda like my old and new cab. But we’ll see what he comes up with.
Though he did seem receptive to the idea of changing the 3s, A3 to sanwa controls and possibly SSF2. He just didn’t really hear much of a demand for it yet.
Oh, and Bison can punch so hard that he breaks arcade machines that he is in.

closer for me to goto, plus wanted to get the specs so I can start reworking the control panels for some of their cabinets and I had plans later in the night which would have been difficult to do if I went to deads instead.

I got my ass kicked by a good japanese player at a arcade i went to. I don’t even know how to play against a Hazama player. And is it just me or is Bang a bit weaker now?

GGA when there’s a ranbat for BBCS and SSFIV but I want to play Rival Schools, UMK3, Puzzle Fighter, SFA3, Rampart, MSH, 3S, and SSFIV.
Plus, like ShinjiGohan said, it’s simply closer for me.
