Heres my idea for something. They have those new xbox pads coming out that have the improved d pad on them. The issue is they are wireless which is bad and only work on xbox. So im thinking wiring one and then dual moding it. Thats my dream that that pad will be better for me than the current xbox d pad but since i am the only person in the world that likes playing fighting games on the xbox d pad i might not like the new one. Who knows.

Well, I found an awesome dpad that’s comfortable as hell, off of a hammerhead controller (the box says it’s compatible with windows 95/98 lol). The problem is, apparently “pause” buttons were a COMPLETE mystery to this company despite having a rumble button, button config, and xbox trigger buttons otherwise I would just straight play with it.

Well, here’s the thing. It depends entirely on how they make them. As far as I know there isn’t a licensed MS wired controller that’s common ground, only the wireless ones. That’s why everyone hacks the madcatz pads for wired setups and MS pads for wireless set ups.

We’ll see, there might be some ways we can make that happen though.

well bring it to dead’s and I’ll take a look at it and see what can be done. Perhaps there’s a spot for a start button on the PCB but just not made into the pad or something. I dunno, I’ll have to look it up and see.

GG to you, too, although this reply is Ultra-Late. Been busy. Also, my box is on route to the M$ hospital. The 3d graphics act crazy, it crashes on Live titles as well as other games. SSF4 was the only thing that played good at all. Weird.

Thanks all for coming out last night. It was fun, and it was great to see AreaXIII alive with activity. GGs to the city heads for showing, hope Scrimps caught his train.

The format of the $1 tournament was a bracket, character lock, and you could register with multiple characters. Marcus was not allowed to participate in the bracket. Winner take all. However, the winner of the tournament has to money match a percentage of his winnings, for a FT5 against Marcus. The winner of the tournament got to pick preassigned chars/percentages stipulated by Marcus.

Marcus’ chars were as follows:
25% - Guile
50% - Bison
75% - Vega

We had 39 entrants, so the FT5 MM would have been $10 if the winner wanted to play Guile. $20 for Bison, and $30 for Vega. John chose Bison.
