Carlsen wins! So the finals for the chess world championship 2013 will be Carlsen VS Anand.

Who will win? Carlsen or Anand. this is the 1st time where there is no contender for the world chess championship title that doesn’t have ties to the former USSR and/or Russia in a really long time!!!

So Magnus Carlsen will win?

Oh shit!!! I just realized that this 128 player 2013 world cup tournament is double elimination and not single elimination!!!

http://www.chessworldcup2013.com/official-info/rules-and-regulations

EDIT: maybe not but it appears to be a 2/3 match like street fighter and magic the gathering…

Viswanathan Anand will lose to Magnus Carlsen

The EVO of chess is going on now. It’s single elimination, but each match you have to at least win a 1.5 to 0.5

EDIT: Nakamura and Kamsky are still winning. Hopefully they will be in the top 2!!!

America is going to get squashed again, just like at EVO:

Round 3

Over 9,000 stream monsters are viewing this game

Another draw, but it was a great match to watch.

Looks like Magnus Carlsen is the next world chess champion!!! The score after 6 of 12 rounds is 4-2 for Carlsen. However, Anand might get lucky and catch up, but I doubt it.

Anand’s rating is 2775

Carlsen’s rating is 2870

I saw this match on the front page of twitch and checked it out.

Chat went >:O on the ra4 near the end.
