god i was so close to finally hitting 1400 blitz but then tilted after losing to a bunch of 1200s. i actually played better vs 1400s. ugh guess the pressure and fear of losing rating points. like one game i was up THREE!!! fucking pawns so i traded off all pieces for a queen vs queen endgame. MISTAKE. time pressure and fear of losing meant i gave up all those pawns back and then resigned when he was going to promote.
daily chess is holding steady at 1600 altho bulldancer pwning me may risk me dropping back down to 1500. started reading chess books again am having a blast
in other news, this guy max deustch is a fraud joke. he is a master learner who learns skills in a month. and he was gonna beat magnus. if you lookup the actual game he got completely fucking ruin rekked. he memorized the first few lines of ruy lopez but as soon as he left it he played like a scrub

Good game. I thought I got you @fishjie , but then I didn’t see that check with your bishop. Check in chess is like an instant or triggered ability in Magic. It always has to be dealt with and resolved first…
good game man i was definitely freaked out when you sacced the bishop for the pawn. i think you could’ve gotten perpetual check if you had moved your queen back, and in order for me to escape i would’ve had to expose my king pretty badly. wanna play again? we can play bullet if you want but i promise you will slaughter me so hard (900 rating LOL), but we just have to arrange a time in advance

why not more posts in this thread??? moar people play me kthxbai!!! i keep losing to one move tactics yesterday i got rekt in a game where i lost my queen uggggggh i have blindness and i dont even know why. i’m stuck in 1500-1600 range the only time i can win is if i dont blunder horribly, snipe off a few pawns and win in end game. i almost never win via mating attacks, only in blitz, where i tanked my rating when i played drunk

I’ve been playing on easy mode on my Mac, but recently tried to go to normal difficulty… got pwned! Really not sure why the leap is so dramatic…thought I would do okay. Really need to lose a lot before you get better, I guess
