The Celebrity Apprentice ... YOU'RE FIRED

New Episode on.

I thought Cyndi Lauper was young when I saw her on the show…goddamn

:frowning:

What the hell

– …that went well.

Well earned, too since that candidate did look tired and uninterested as hell. You can’t go into this competition looking like Droopy Dogg. The Trumps will feed on that and you’re bound to go down, whether you wanted to or not.

– Hard call. Very tough to decide this round. There is not much cunning personas here to actually get The Apprentice win.

  • I could see Michael take it if he tones down on the whole “I’m the goddamn boss” attitude when he’s Project Manager. You shouldn’t be battling clients like that.

  • Osbourne either needs to back out next challenge or step up her Benadryl intakes or that cold could cost her in the long run. Her unprofessionalism will probably get her out quicker, too. Swearing at client meetings?

  • Holly has diva potential and would probably be a hard target in the team switching.

  • Goldberg should take a few steps back regardless just to get his feet wet before taking in the PM shoes. I’m curious about him, though.

  • The trumps will definitely rip Brett soon.

  • Selita doesn’t look like she adds anything but eye candy, next to Robinson and Maria.

  • Cyndi and Rod are joke characters. Either candidate bring nothing but status to the table. Who can’t use a computer and run for senate, at the same time, these days?

Hey, you were Bear Ryoma, the guy with that annoying signature and the incoherent posts. I guess I’m not surprised that Cyndi’s genius flew right over your head. Joke characters? Get a clue.

Man, in the teaser clips, I was already getting pissed at Summer for throwing Cyndi under the bus, but dammit, crappy reality TV editing owned me there as eventually, Summer apologized to Cyndi and acknowledged that Cyndi’s stories are magnificent gems of wisdom and humor (my words not hers but pretty close). Cyndi totally had the right idea about how to construct the ad the Norton/Lifelock guys wanted to see, and the cheap shot that Michael took towards Cyndi made me think much less of him. At least Trump’s left-hand man pointed out that Cyndi had the right idea.

I know Hawaii still has a couple of hours to catch up, so beware of spoilers from the mainland…

I could go on and gush more about Cyndi and her cute-as-hell bargaining techniques (the face!!!), but lemme address Maria. Wow, it’s weird that out of the whole group, she is easily the most intelligent and well-put-together woman on Tenacity. I can definitely see her going far in this game, but I’m not sure if she is well connected enough (a la Joan Rivers, what a travesty ugh) to actually WIN the whole thing. Clearly, the Celebrity Apprentice already has a pre-determined outcome, and I see Sharon winning the whole thing simply because the last challenge will consist of raising money, and she is well connected to all the rich Brits, notably, Simon Cowell (think ST Akuma broken). However, she’s also performing at a terrible level, what with the unacceptable coughing/hygiene, bad attitude, and generally playing to the camera too much in the vein of nasty British stereotype that finds humor only by insults.

Anyway, a bit of side information: during the first episdoe, Goldberg got one of his friends to donate like 10 or 20 Gs. They never showed it. In fact, Goldberg is getting the invisible edit this season, which is kinda unfortunate since my only impression of him is from a decade ago as a guy who got famous for dumb squash matches and a striking similarity to SCSA. On this show, it looks like he has quite a bit of potential…

The quitter was pretty pathetic. If he wasn’t so revered in NY, Trump would have been sure to roast him over the pulpit before firing him with hate. But of course, celebrities are gonna be babied. Standard practice for these types of shows. Way to toss your charity into the trash, too. I will say that it made for great TV and will be watching it again heh heh…

Holly is cool, liked her in Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, but she definitely playing the game. No hesitation to try and make another player look weak or responsible for something bad. Shrewd. Traits that I admire. However, since she also tried to downplay Cyndi’s overall usefulness, she gets some wepeel hate

And now, because I am bored, some power rankings in terms of celebrity:

Bret Michaels - 10
Cyndi Lauper - 10
Darryl Strawberry - 9
Goldberg - 8
Rod Blagojevich - 8
Sharon Osborne - 8
Maria Kanellis - 7
Michael Johnson - 7
Everyone else - 7 or lower

Everbody recognizes Bret from Rock of Love. His charisma is undeniable and is able to transition from rockstar mentality to figuring out the laymen and what they need. Undoubtedly one of this season’s ratings anchor. I guess the ladies love him too. Objectively, Cyndi should be a 9 but as you’ve probably figured out I’m very biased so of course I’m gonna give her a 10. She wrote and sang some of the most iconic tunes of her time, and remained a true, caring person who kept it real with her approach to life. Her dance album Bring Ya To The Brink is pretty dang good as well, that one came out in 2008. Ok moving on before I ramble again. Darryl ranks as a 9 simply because the show is based in NY and he’s definitely got a lot of money/celebrity/industry connections in the area. Sharon might have been higher but this is 2010, not 2002-2004 or 5, where she was almost as famous as her husband. Rod is a HIGHLY DELUSIONAL politician; that’s the easiest ratings trick in the book. Goldberg…well, he had a hilarious sendoff at Wrestlemania 20, and I think Kutcher tried to Punk him but failed, but other than that, yes, he’s been under the radar. But he’s still one of the most easily recognizable celebrities on the show, just by size alone. Alright so that’s enough for tonight…

WTF what happened to winners never quit

Who is D’marco Ray?

This episode was alright. I don’t know why they would choose Rod to be Project Manager because he doesn’t know how to use ANYTHING modern.

I think Michael just wanted him out and let him crash and burn.

Oh boy…here we go with EGO BATTLE 2010

Sharon is just DYING for drama, the HBIC just can’t resist fanning the flames. She knows how to work the camera and be relevant on whatever TV show she’s in, but the way she’s doing it is so dirty. Saying that the other girls are boring (and therefore, make for boring TV) isn’t exactly far from the truth, but it’s a very mean-spirited thing to say, especially when people like Holly are genuinely playing for her charity (I saw her cry a couple of times about autism on Oprah so I believe her). Does she REALLY have to be this caustic to the others? I do like that she’s sort of standing up for Cyndi, because of course, Cyndi would only argue things like how she was more qualified for the art direction part of the previous challenge, and never would she speak ill of other people the way Sharon does.

Cyndi didn’t get too much airtime this episode, but what she got, she made ADORABLE once again! “Muggles and wizards, muggles and wizards!” Totally in character, totally into the performance, totally cute…

They made Selita look like a beeyotch! The editing of her scenes had something to do with it, but judging by her twitter posts (yes I follow the list), she really does seem to be one of them mean girls. I already sensed the Summer-Holly-Selita alliance last episode, and poor Cyndi will no doubt be their main target once they fail a challenge again.

I love that Bret cannot resist commenting on ANY female that comes on the scene, and he’s so festive in his recollection that you just can’t help but smile. I wasn’t really sure their “house of horrors” was the best thing ever, but if someone had to be the architect in this challenge, it would have been Bret.

Goldberg is getting the worst editing. He obviously knows how to play to a camera, and perhaps that’s why the editors are giving him the muted treatment. He’s probably come up with some good rebuttals to Trump’s antagonizing comments, and of course this show isn’t gonna make Donald look bad. And who better than to give the silent edit to than the muscle-bound big man? It’s what America is used to, people…

Rod…Rod Rod Rod, one of the most delusional characters I’ve seen on TV, real or scripted. He said that because he was wearing sunglasses on the plane, you couldn’t really say with 100% certainty that he was sleeping the whole time. WOW. Perfect example of a delusional liar. He made for some entertaining grovelling during the boardroom scene; I mean, how could he not, he’s a politician, he’s got plenty of experience talking as much nonsense that is needed to get the heat off of him. That includes talking to the point of making the listeners exhausted. I think he could have had more of a legitimate argument by saying that Curtis did not help the de-facto project manager Bret enough, being the weak link in a line of productive workers. He could have cited some instances of inactivity, but then again this is the Celebrity version and no one’s gonna go all out against a fellow celebrity unless its a comedian or some mentally disturbed, petty individual. Oh look I just described Joan Rivers.

Anyway, Michael is definitely filling the villain role, as his contempt for some of his fellow teammates (namely, Bret and Rod) can hardly be concealed. Sharon is still doing her HBIC thing, Cyndi is still awesome, and hopefully we get to see more of Goldberg voicing an opinion and Maria gushing about Cyndi, cuz I know she really likes her. Also, Maria has a blog on NBC that sheds some light on the editing of the show. Bret Michaels also has a blog on Fancast. Summer kinda has a blog but I’m not sure if it’s really dedicated to The Apprentice.

New episode on.

They have to advertise for Right Guard, seems interesting.

Episode is basically over, my favorite episode from the season so far.

Bret’s in the hospital again, this time for a brain hemorrhage. I hope he makes it out ok…

Yeh I heard about that, very sad here is an article

Bret Michaels Suffers From Brain Hemorrhage

If sharon osbourne wins this I will be so pissed, she should have been fired, MIA for 2 eps c’mon!

The female team annoys me. :coffee:

The editing on this show is absolutely horrible. It’s down there with FOX produced reality, almost as bad and insulting as Hell’s Kitchen. Who the hell directed this footage??? It’s so convoluted, I can barely make it to Cyndi’s scenes. I read that Cyndi may have a reality show of her own later this year; I hope she gets a completely different production crew.

This season of Celebrity Apprentice sucks. I"ll be happy when they go back to regular people because they were more cutthroat.

I really don’t like Holly.

Who don’t you like?

Yes I’m implying that you hate someone, because you hate Prav. :shake:

Believe it or not the person I didn’t really care for got fired on this past Sunday. I didn’t hate her, I just didn’t like how everything was so peachy with her and I don’t like how on this season no one really brings any drama to it. That’s generally what made The Apprentice good in the first place. Everyone is always going, “There’s no weak players on our team” and kind of this whole kissing butt thing. It’s not how last time Joan & Melissa Rivers were teaming up against someone else who didn’t like them, or how they had the epic battles between Piers and Amarosa.

I think things would probably have pretty good if Michael Johnson were still there because at least he was another straight shooter. So I’m looking forward to the next season because just regular ol people looking for a job and being aggressive and competing for one was more full of drama, however, they resorted to celebrities because average people just weren’t bringing in the ratings. They’ve got to put a new spin on it.

I didn’t think it was worth starting a new topic since this existed. Anyone watching the new season?

Does Donald Trump calling himself Sir Trump now lol?? Sir Alan Sugar doesn’t calling him that because it has a nice ring to it

You should start a new topic. Plus did the new season start last night? If so, I gotta catch up on my reality TV. Survivor started recently too.
