The "Capcom should've buffed this" thread

When you start pointing out what a character lacks, it implies that you believe they should have it, especially when you start pointing out that other stronger characters do have it. If that’s not what you meant, then I apologize, but there’s no need to be rude.

That said, I think a projectile reflector is a good idea. The idea of IF being able to smack back fireballs with one of his moves would looks pretty cool. Personally, I think they should just give his rekkas some degree of projectile invincibility, maybe just make it so that the hitboxes nullify projectiles. That approach would look freakin’ awesome.

I didn’t know that, interesting. They proabably didn’t think it was really representative of him as a character.

Yeah, that’s why I think they should do something like what I said in my last post. He does need a better way to get in.

Not so much a buff, but Capcom should not have touched Dante. More Devil Trigger mobility? Okay, cool, that encourages people to use it. Remove some Hammer invul? Good, he shouldn’t have had that anyway. But do NOT fuck with his hitsun and pushback.

I really dislike the new Iron-Man in ultimate…They got the right concept in getting him some new combos to work with the normal air dash cancel…but it doesnt matter if he cant land a hit.

Things that IM needs:
*He needs his old airdash speed back like in vanilla,so he can at least use his Tri-jump Medium to open people up with.
*double jump for that extra mobility.
This is unnecessary but if they made smartbombs ATK+S for easier inputs and you can control its trajectory like in mvc2, that would be a good zoning tool.

I think if they kept IM the same from vanilla +normals airdash cancel buff in ultimate, maybe he could of been a solid character.

Nvm. You’re right. Good to know.

Edit: This is damn near impossible and the only character I’ve been able to do this with so far is Storm. Even Hypers that cover full screen or almost full screen like Gimlet or Okami shuffle can’t touch them. Who are you using and what are you using to catch them?

I haven’t done it in match once yet, as its hella situational. However, I’m pretty sure I did counter -> XFC V.Joe Red hot kick to get close to the ground/opponent then full combo in training before, but I don’t remember. I’ll have to try it asap.

Viewtiful Joe: More priority on his normals, More invincibility on slow dodge.

Capcom needs to buff assist characters. Yes, assist characters. You know, the ones that gave teams broken dynamics, kept mindless rushdown honest, and gave a feeling of hopelessness when the first two point characters got WTFKTFO’d? The type of characters that turned that same feeling of hopelessness into inconceivable amounts of hype?

Watching Haggar, Tron, and even Akuma attempt to play in the front when there are characters infinitely more useful than them on point AND as an assist is like watching The Legend of Chun-Li. It’s painful, it’s awkward, and it seems like it just wasn’t well thought out.

Fuck every character being viable on point, I want to mash my goddamn A2 again.

-From what I found out in the past hour or so, I could only get Felicia, Strider and Storm to hit the opponent after a TAC counter out of about half the cast (surprisinlgy Dr. Strange’s Spell of Vishanti super doesn’t catch either).
-A lot of attacks will visually overlap for several characters but they won’t register as a hit at all.
-Furthermore, they had to already be in X-factor level 3 to do it (doing the TAC and then popping XFC and attacking won’t work for them).
-Being in X-factor level 1 or 2 won’t allow you to hit them either despite their attacks still overlapping the opponent’s body in the same position.

It just feels like a glitch at this point, buffing it to be a consistent and reliable tactic for the rest of the cast (in all x factor levels) would be nice.

Iron Man neededs to go back to the way he was in the Evo build to be viable imo.

Dr Doom needs to be given this as a buff.

After some really deep thinking and reflection (ie to pass time while trying to fall asleep last night) I decided that all Iron Man needs is his dash from Vanilla, and he’d be really really good.
He’d actually be able to open people up
His combos would be less weird and probably better, what with the dash cancelling and all
He wouldn’t feel like a brick trying to fly, he’d feel like god damn Iron Man
Even easier to convert random pokes into good damage

He might even be too good. But then I remember Wesker’s in this game, and the phrase too good makes me lol

Wolvorine needed buffs. His breserker slash wasn’t good enough in vanilla the should have given it buffs But NO they nerfed it. MODOK and Arthur need nerfs cause they were too OP. Tron also needed nerfs she was also too good. And wesker should just go full nude (I approve) and get a 200% damage and speed increase and it should stack with x factor. Weskers teleport should be 0 frames too and have no recovery.

On the sf side Capcom needed to buff Ken even more. He deserved recovery like guile on his Hadous. And His tatsus should hit low and overhead.

Iron Man needs a buff to cure him of his alcoholicism so that when you fly and use air dashes as him it no longer feels like you’re controlling a piss drunk guy piloting a lead zeppelin .

Wesker’s damage and speed were too good, let’s buff them

oh wait

=|

Oh god damn it, you see what you started?

I don’t feel as bad posting terribly overdone jokes so long as I don’t resort to posting Maximilian vids (see top of this thread)

Thanks for the testing, and I agree that if you counter someone and XF (even lvl 1) you should be able to land a free combo. You had to make a read AND blow XF, you deserve it.

:frowning:
But I would still totally buy that though.

They should have buffed Shuma’s hyper voiceover lines.

“Hyper -short pause- Mystic Ray/Smash” is not compelling dialoge.
