So were Canelo’s. Didn’t matter when they fought, but yea it’d depend on who bulks/drops there. It’s not going to happen anyway, it’ll probably be Khan.
Floyd admitted that when he fought Canelo that when he blocked one of his punches he ended up dislocating his elbow for a bit. Hence why Floyd started using his legs to completely avoid those punches. He understood that blocking them would do way too much damage.
Damn the hype really died for Donaire when Rigondeaux dominated him and ended his streak. Would like to see a rematch since he went back down to super bantam.
Combination of us going “yup” at the predictable result, and posting hilarious salt from other sources.
I’m not sure how many people in this thread are all that salty about the outcome, we all expected this. The saltiest dude we saw was one random who never shows up aside from that one day, and he was salty as fuck that we WEREN’T salty and trying to pick internet fights with people lol. That was about it.
FB and Twitter are mad salty. Like I have friends basically saying those two killed boxing and how it was a waste of money (which it was). My buddy tried to go in on me saying that Mayweather wouldn’t let Manny do anything. This was in response to what I said about Manny not even attempting to let his hands go. Basically Manny not fighting like Manny. And I’m pretty sure everyone saw that Manny simply wasn’t fighting like he normally does.
I think the biggest take away is that the Mayweather stans were talking shit about Floyd winning but didn’t understand why his performance was so good. they just like talking shit, and basically if anyone says otherwise is a hater.
Honestly I hope a lot of those folks don’t become boxing fans because they aren’t really trying to understand the sport for what it is.
ya philipinos are either super mad at mayweather or convinced the fight was rigged cause “manny wasnt manny”.
oh yes we know hes a volume puncher…but you cant keep punching air or get off when a nigga jabs you in the face everytime you get something working for them. like stahp…yall get together once every 2 years for a manny fight…suddenly you understand boxing?
It’s like this in my point of view. Boxing really needed Manny to win, it wasn’t really the whole Floyd/Manny showdown that would revive boxing but manny actually winning IMO. No one can deny that Floyd’s style is A+ Masterclass and there are people who appreciate that scientific aspect however the general public of fight fans do want entertaining fights. We pay allot of money for that stuff. And Floyd’s style being the most dominant style that fighters can not beat can potentially lower the popularity of the sport because in comparison to other sports such as MMA, Football, Basketball you just can’t release an amount of energy with it and in the end their is a massive unsatisfaction with how it ended. Most of the floyd fans think that wanting just brawls is signs of a weak/unintelligent fan but they have to realize that fight sports is also a form of entertainment.
Manny will never recover from his defeats anymore, period. He got KO’d badly by Marquez and lost badly to the guy who slandered his legacy with accusations, believed was scared/inferior to him, and much more someone people dreamed/prayed he would beat. Maybe the people who were complaining about him going into the Philippine office back in 2010 i think were right that his overloading of careers will weaken his boxing career. Nevertheless, all excuses doesnt matter. Floyd the anti-fighter is clearly the top of our generation.
theirs a reason why dana white keeps shitty fighters who stand and bang til their retarded. look at forest/bonnor fight…thats what put the ufc on the fucking map. because the general populace are fucking idiots. thank gawd…im never worried about a dude trying to arm triangle me or double leg me. just gotta worry dumbass is gonna swing wide like a bad boxing movie.
i disagree on manny/marquez. those two are so equally matched they could go back and forth for decades personally. marquez was doing good in 4 but the real reason he won wasnt he tricking manny into walking into that punch. shit was just good timing and bad luck. it was not planned.
