Cotto looked really strong. I kinda felt bad for Geale because he’s a hard worker but those two are just not the same caliber of fighter at this point. Cotto and Canelo dodging triple G again… drives me insane.
I think Boxing’s best 3 is Cotto, Canelo, and Triple G. Any match between these guys will be something big. I knew Cotto was too much for Gael to begin with and it just seemed like a filler-cash “remember me?” type of fight.
They’re definitely some of the most mainstream best. Although I’ve been a Cotto fan along time and he’s always been pretty great. I think there is some others that are technically at a higher caliber its just they get the type of mainstream exposure that the dynamic fights in these weight classes get. Like chocaltito is honestly one of the best pound for pounds and no one even knows who he is.
Chocalito is probably the best in the world, but when it comes to the lighter divisions a lot of folks won’t pay attention to them. I mean he is like a smart Ippo, with the way he moves, but actually sets up traps and knows how to control a match. I wish more people would check him out though, but when it comes to lighter divisions its as if they don’t exist to the masses.
Boxing Schedule for the week (seems to be a ton of fights this week).

Sort of agree. I think Cotto is a guy who’s boxing caliber was so great but became a victim of the bullshit in boxing now. We have to be real here, no body can just fully recover from getting pounded by plaster wraps. That shit is so damaging that Margarito being given another chance was a complete insult to boxing.
