Yes and no. It’s based on a dating sim, and one of the paths is with your sister. So it’s up to you if you want to go the incest way. Although the anime is going to have an OVA for that path…

It’s so awesome (and sponsored by the university).
The battle system REALLY impresses me, but there is not a whole lot of variety and the game just seems to bank on how great the battle system is…
Which is a problem since I might get bored somewhere down the line given that all you’re really doing is moving from one battle to the other.
There are side-quests, but it’s the same shit, but without funny cutscenes.
I’ll probably lend it to you sometime when I finish and we meet next year; I don’t really suggest going out and buying it (even if you can get it used).
That said, I didn’t even finish FFXIII… it just went on for forever (and suffered from the crappy structure I just talked about: you move from one battle to the next… that said, Resonance has a much better battle system in that I can actually positon myself).
Man, I wish I knew how to paint; that’s some solid coloring.
Pencil is actually better since it’s more accurate with regards to what you want… I just hated the whole messy process of doing it with pencil, however, so I just went with a tablet.
That said, good stuff you two; post moar.

That said, I used to draw not so well, but I just kept at it and it got vaguely better… it was mostly comics though, so that meant that a lot of drawing got done in a short amount of time, which probably lead to faster improvement… but I look at my old work now and it leads to rage given how inconsistent the product was.
But, I dunno… it’s just something to do to pass time for me, I guess… still kinda wish I went to school to learn it.

I wish i was able to make it to one more session before the break but finals kicked my ass. DKL! You should have told me about Berkeley finals… 17-18 hour study sessions ftl. I won’t be around Berkeley until next semester, but I’m going to try to make it out to starbase every Weds and maybe some other sessions now that I have my car again.

Given how addicted to Rune Factory I was, I now really wanna play that game…
On the other hand, Catherine is coming out soon (from the same makers, I’m to understand?), so I’ll get on that since it’s actually for next gen consoles…
Plus it has smutty bits, so yay.
Rose doesn’t really have any bad matchups (I’m more inclined to say Blanka is a harder match). Cammy’ low dive kicks can punish slide pressure and her fireballs generally aren’t very useful in this matchup and is how I get most of my knockdowns. However, at mid-range, all of Cammy’s normals are way slower than Rose’s and don’t have awesome lower-body invincibility.
Ultra 1 is viable since Rose generally has difficulty punishing Cammy’s mistakes hard (it can also anti air Cammy’s dive kicks). Cammy can safe-jump U2, but it’s scary. Cammy with meter has several different ways to blow through U2, but it still remains very useful. Just don’t completely ignore Ultra 1 IMHO. :tup:
P3:P is more a friendship simulator, i think. Though maybe I’m not that far into the social links for love interests. shrugs
I usually like to joke about things being dating simulators: I think I remember saying at one point that Mass Effect 2 was probably the world’s most advanced dating simulator.
(and I’d likely jokingly assume that all JRPGs have dating simulator elements: who can forget the trip to Golden Saucer in FFVII?)
That said, Rune Factory is no joke: it has everything… dating simulation, friend simulation, farm simulation, zelda dungeon elements, animal crossing clone, etc.
Can’t wait to get on the Wii version of this (for better or worse: I won’t be leaving the house too much when I start it, that’s for sure)…
(and then the PS3 version when it comes out next year, assuming localization doesn’t take an eternity)
That said, RF3’s end game seems annoying since I’m in a dungeon and the keys to some of the rooms involve needing produce that is not from the current season: I need like 12 pieces of Spinach to open a room, but I still have to grow that shit and then I was like WTF… I can’t buy that at the local store.

you guys need to check out AE. it was up and running at Milpitas Golf Land today and everybody from NorCal showed up. starbase crew, ricky, john, fchamp, seth, etc. i had a blast even thought i only go to play twice in like 2.5 hours.

The one in Sunnyvale just opened up yesterday I am thinking about making a trip out there either Saturday or Sunday.
EDIT: They are closed on Saturday (pathetic…), but I am going on Sunday I have a trooper that can fit about 4 people roughly 5 if you guys crush each other in back and or I don’t drive since I’m the smallest guy. We can do something like meet at the fremont bart station or if anyone lives in the hayward area I can pick you up. (fuck I wish I didn’t take a 3 month break and I wish I learned how to play on a stick…)

I didn’t get to test out the Vega changes really. Just played like regular. I waited an hour then got on and beat a Yun, a Yang, a bison, my buddy Ramin’s Dudley, then finally lost to a Zangief. I’m happy I got some Yun/Yang matchup experience even if it was just day 1 stuff where nobody really knew their links yet. Bison’s lk scissor kick pressure is noticeably easier to get away from. Gief’s lp spd range is no joke. I kept underestimating it and was caught in brand new tick throw setups.
After waiting another hour, I played FChamp in the midst of his 25+ win streak. I almost won the first round… and then was promptly bodied the second round.
Sunnyvale only has ONE ae machine. The other broke and it’s gonna take about 2 weeks to send it back to Japan and get it back fixed. This really sucks cuz now MGL is going to twice as packed.
Yeah, I heard about the other machine breaking in the other threads, but I would’ve like to have played anyway to experience the character differences…
That said, I can’t go as our family plans extended to Sunday; sorry guys.
