The guy who played Dhalsim today (Simon, I think) was pretty solid. I only got a few rounds in but then I had to grab some food.

GG’s all. Thanks for setting this up DKL. Oh how I despise that cammy matchup…
Good stuff everyone! The Dhalsim player plans to come through again next week; I never realized how fun that matchup can be.
Come back to us DKL! Though I think with the Guile suggestion, we may have created a monster…
 ggs dude! Come back again!
Next week, I plan to get us some portable speakers in case we can’t get one of the audible setups. Anyone remembers how the headphones are connected to those stations?
I should actually be thanking you guys for coming out here and putting time and effort into the thing; thanks a lot guys!
The only problem I can see with this is if they’re the kind of speakers that need to be plugged in; we can’t currently use the shop’s electrical outlets, but we should start making some inquiries right around the time the NORCAL INSTALL event happens.
That said, I shall get back to SF ASAP… just need to get a little better, then I can hit up that GUILE character for sure.
^ Online, I’m finding some battery powered speakers on the cheap. But, I don’t remember if the headphones there are connected via 3/4 jack or a different audio connection (RCA? USB?).
Email sent. Guess we’ll soon find out.
Oh and stay away from EVO Japan. They got crazy guys there like STRIPFIGHTER
I have some cheap speakers that are powered by USB but are connected by headphone jacks. I think it will be good enough to recognize sounds, but don’t expect too much quality from it.
^^ those could fit the bill. Do they require drivers to work? If not, they should work…theoretically.
Quality wise, so long as I can hear dudley say ‘keep it classy’ it’s all good!
Actually, I just tested them on my friends 360 and they work. Shouldn’t need any drivers. I’ll bring them over next week to get some sound going on.

Yay sound! Aroo, aroo! See y’all next week!
Yeah, sorry about the speakers thing; I’ll delegate BLAZBLUE to non-speakers next week in the event that we don’t have any speakers for SF.
(it would only be fair since BBCS has had the speakers for the last 2 weeks now)
That said, I’m likely going to dedicate some time to practicing some SF next week; been playing too much BBCS…
Dan is clearly the future since he beat Daigo (assuming it was not Daigo’s friend playing); WTF.
dan is pretty fun to use, his dash is godlike.
Dan is so good that he has his own tier: DAN-TIER.
Next time you guys see I promise to be better with my honda; I haven’t had a chance to play since last week, but I have some stuff I realized I needed to work on after playing the last time I was there.
Can’t wait to see your uber-Honda, I can hardly beat him in his current form!
This week, I’m focusing on my bad matchups (grapplers, chargers, and Bob Sagat). Just had a nice (read: painful) session with a solid Rog. Halfway through the matches I realized how important frame traps are when rushing down characters with ridiculously good normals.
Must conduct more science in my lab!
Wait a second when did you beat my Honda! Haha kidding kidding I think you’ve beat me a few times, but no shame in that it is such a tough match up for Cammy and it really isn’t even fair. I think I need to start learning about OS, frame traps, and doings jab>HHS and tic Orochio Breaker.
How did everything go last weekend?
Pretty good session on Saturday, I mentioned the 'Sim player from Hong Kong earlier. There was also a Vega that looked really solid but left before I got a chance to play him. We’re starting to build up some regulars, and we seem to get more fresh faces every week.
Oh, and DKL is going to start counter picking us with Guile even though its just a casual session. :lame:
I kid, of course. He has potential with Guile but we got to keep it classy with the Brits at EU!
GUILE IS THE FUTURE.
That said, I still don’t know whether or not I’ll do it; I’m mostly in a funk over the last few weeks because of BLAZBLUE, but I’ll likely start picking up SF again this week since I already know how to do Makoto’s Parry Loop combo (it’s essentially a 3-hit combo in the game that you can do over and over on an enemy using the game’s move cancel system in order to get up to like 20+ hits using the same 3-hit combo… it is also SUPER and SPECIAL cancellable, which is hilarious)…
ANYWAY, time to get back to playing some SUPER.
God damn, I’ve been practicing PARRY LOOP and doing the repetitive motion for canceling jump with parry REALLY REALLY hurts my left arm…
I gotta drop this game soon, son…
That said:
GUYS, with regards to frame data, how do I know which move can combo into which move?
I haven’t read the stuff for forever and I seem to have forgotten how it works…
For example: how do I know that Ryu’s cr. MK combos into Hadouken?
