You don’t execute the kaillera p2p client file. You’ll have to open up the emulator, then “Play via Kaillera”.
For some reason I’m having a lot of problems with freezing in NFBA. No matter who I connect to, it seems that it freezes randomly (and sucks badly). Anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this? Note that freezing doesn’t seem to be as bad when people connect to me, but people ALSO have been having problems connecting to me (anyone have a fix for this too?). Thanks!

even if firmware and hardware are different, the idea of port forwarding are usually consistent throughout a family of routers
I downloaded nFBA and the newest kaillera client from the kaillera website but when it starts up no games are listed under the waiting games tab even when I try and refresh the list. Is this normal? When I try and host a game and click on the whatsmyip button, nothing shows up. Also, I tried both methods of entering my gateway address in explorer as well as typing home and either I get an error message or it just shows random searches from a search engine. Any suggestions?

If I would click on waiting games then refresh the list it would say “Downloading list…” and not actually do anything. Me and my friend then tried to connect P2P and that didn’t work either.
I noticed that in the client list only P2P was listed whereas my friend also had “Player” listed.
I then downloaded nfbadtr9.7z from the above link as I though “Hmmmm, this says nf, maybe this is a client for nFBA.” Now whenever I click on play “Play via Kaillera” there is a sort of red “pause” sign you’d see on a CD player (on the nFBA logo, on the top-right hand corner). Kaillera doesn’t load but has it’s own window open too. If you hover the mouse over the window all you can see is a blank, white page with a drop-down list saying “P2P”.
I chose nFBA as both MAME and GGPO failed on me when it came to online play.
Also, I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.
Does anyone know what SSRV:IPIS… stands for? I’m one of those who can’t host since whatismyip stopped working, which is caused by my network randomizing the connectable port by forwarding 27886 to somewhere, which only that button can show. I’m going over every clue coz this thing is very desperate for a solution right now, I see several users here also have this problem.
It came back on! Still I’ll appreciate it if you can know and can explain what’s going on, I’m afraid it may go off again. I think lines below will clearly explain the problem, I’m hosting on 27886 which is the port forwarded on the router, but the port I’m connectable from is 57078 first, then it changes to 59457 after a while. And none of them show on netstat-a or anywhere, it only shows 27886 in UDP’s (not in TCP’s too)

Guys I have a question…
which would yield better results:
1)Running my own server via Emilinker and having my friend connect to me? I have done this and he can connect with a ping as low as 20ms and we can run the games just fine.

2)I host using P2P Kaillera?
Is hosting a server via emulinker and setting it up to where it’s just me and my friend, the same thing as playing peer to peer?
I wanna use P2P Kaillera but we are having problems with it. When I’m hosting, my friend can join my room and we both have ports 27886 forwarded and it’s labeled as an “exception” in our firewalls. But upon starting the game, he gets an error that says something along the lines of debug something something…while I get a black screen in mame. What do you suppose is causing this?
Any help would be appreciated.
