Did you give the problematic Mame it’s own directory, or put the exe in with an older Mame version? Give each version it’s own directory and see if that helps.
I’ve never seen that before, but it sounds like the cfg/ini files might be messed up, or maybe it can’t write them. Things can get messed up over time so save anything you might want saved (like input recordings), erase the old directory and start fresh.
Well I just looked over the whole thread and in those 21 threads I didnt get an answer, for some reason he kept skipping or ignoring the question or im not getting something here. How do you record on .117 Mame? The Ctrl+Shift doesn’t work and the home key is to talk, Ive been trying to figure this out but no answer, I know Blaq Records, but idk how to reach him
Try that first and let me know if you get it to work cause I didn’t bother to re-read it just now.
Stressed out from work and I need to be a lil more drunk first.
Don’t know, but perhaps the Controller Adapter/Converter Thread does. Of course you wanna be extra careful in doing your homework on those, since as you’ve discovered, you can easily end up with one that doesn’t work well enough with your stick/pad.
I’m really new to this on-line thing, but I’m curious, is the main Kaillera server down right now? I get errors when searching for waiting games, server lists, etc. The only thing that appears is the “Recent servers” (which strangly, I can connect to.)
I have a beast computer and a beast internet connection, I can even ping the new york servers at 15ms, but when I try and play online through mame, it says my ping is 360ms? I don’t get it? I tried running custom dlls but that didn’t help, any ideas?
I’m getting an error when I start MAME saying “comctl32.dll” is old, but it’s the latest version. Microsoft.com doesn’t have the version I have to download either.
Also, “Default Options” is greyed out. May be caused my the missing .dll.
The greying out for MAME.64 is a Vista problem, I also have the same problem.
But an even worse problem for me now is when I run MAME32k.64 I can’t use TAB (or any of my buttons for that matter) to access the menu. So I can’t set my arcade stick up even though I used to be able to. I even tried deleting my files in cfgwin.
When I run MAME32++ I can access the menu but it does not register my stick even though I have it set out to recognise my stick in the default game options menu.
Any help please ?
EDIT: Nevermind, I merely redownloaded MAME32k.64 and copied over my roms file.
I still don’t understand my problem with MAME32++ though ?
