Where do I put these files after I download?
I’m trying to make the image look better (more sharp/crisp) on a LCD widescreen monitor.
Where do I put these files after I download?
I’m trying to make the image look better (more sharp/crisp) on a LCD widescreen monitor.
Put it in the artwork folder.
Thanks, these files make the images look way better from what I see so far.
Why is it that the sound varies (from really low to high) for roms though? Is there some way to change a specific rom’s volume or is it the rom itself that’s bad?
That’s pretty self-explanatory.
Different games often have different sound hardware and sound programming.
For example, the sound in CPS2 games is louder than the sound in CPS1 games.
You’re right about that.
I also figured out that, the volume can be changed through the dipswitch menu (F2). WWF Arcade was turned down really low by default.
You can also press ’ (o in Plus Plus) to increase the volume, overclock the CPUs, resize the screen, etc…
im just re pasting my post from the cps3 thread in hopes that some mame masters that dont read the cps3 thread will see my problem:
ok. im not scrolling through this whole thread to find the answer so im posting it now. how do you get the doa stick to recognize with ++117 and ++119? these emu’s dont see it at all. i enable joystick, noting shows up in axes window(im assuming something should). i even used xpadder and no luck. my stick is fine. i use it on older mame builds, ggpo, doujin games, etc, with no issues.
so uhm
wtf?
=(
EDIT: extra info, right before the game boots with mame ++119. it says:
Direct Input: Unable to set Absolute Mode for Joystick 0 (Arcade Stick(Dead or Alive 4stick))
ill click ok to the error, emu loads, no stick support. bleh
Sabree, you have to install the xbcd drivers correctly for ++ to use the doa4 stick. I don’t remember exactly what i did but i think it was go into your device manager>human interface devices>right click game controller and show it where your xbcd drivers are and it should work fine. Took me a long time to figure out as well.
http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd_install.html -should help if you still can’t get it. Look under ‘xp upgrade’.
yeah i had a feeling i would have to do that. thats cool. thanks for the help. ill do that when i build my new comp this weekend. no real point on troubleshooting now, just to start over hah.
thanks
How do you record movies online in Kaillera with mame 0.117 playing 3s? I read that you press Ctrl-Shift, but I am not sure when to press it, of if this is still correct, as it was for an older version of mame.
I take it that it records the file as an inf or inp and then you use the play to avi function to turn it into an AVI, correct?
Why are so many people still playing on MAME32k .064? What is so great about that version?
It’s the most popular for netplay from what I’ve been told. That and .117.
Version .117 covers CPS3 games and 0.64 covers everything else.
Speaking of Mame .117, my button configuration never saves when I start a game each time, what can I do?
Hmm, it should automatically save right after you configure it…
If you use **Input (general) **then your initial configuration would be used for each game you play.
Using Input (this game) saves the config for just that game. Maybe you were confusing the two?
If nothing saves then I don’t what to tell ya…
Anyone have the link to the 32 version of 0.117? I can’t find it at all. That one has netplay also right or is it just 0.64?
Isn’t that the command line version? That looks like the link I tried yesterday and it didn’t have the built in frontend. I can’t check it because I’m on the work computer.
I know what the two are and always do Input (this game), but it never saves whatever assigned spots I enter.
Thanks but links broken
