mame is stupid im on the west coast and i can never find good matches
i play xvsf,a3 st and w/e and shit the best i could get is laggy miami matches

Dammit…my roms doesn’t work even though it seems as if I have all the files it wants…the rom I want to play is Samurai Showdown 2 and it still won’t open for some reason. It works for my NeoRageXP…but not MAME. What should I do?
And I have the bios and the neogeo.roms as well.

Alright, I got the adapter for my ps2 controller, set it up and I got the controller working. Now I don’t know how too set my config, I go too tab in Street Fighter alpha2 and I don’t see a “low punch” “low kick” choice. All I see is “button 1” “button 2”.
Right now I have…
square - "lk"
X - "lp"
O - "mp"
Triangle - "hp"
r1 - "hk"
L1 - “mk”
How do I set my ps2 controller too have:
square - "mp"
X - "lp"
O - "lk"
Triangle - "mk

And for MvsC It’s the same deal, I can’t even call helpers 
. Can anybody tell me wich ones too change? like… wich buttons stand for “lk” “hk” etc. etc. If you could tell me what too change in “general input” so my controlles will be set for both street fighter and MvsC, that would be awesome

Also, I would like too know why they have Third Strike roms available for mame. Yet when I look on my all games list, third strike is not listed. Is it the mame model that I have? Or am I just doing something wrong.

3rd Strike isn’t an probably won’t be properly emulated for a long time.
Otherwise, everyone would be playing it.
They went ahead and dumped the board, they have a whole slew of boards that have been dumped but aren’t emulated.
Google “unmamed” to see a list of all those games.
Kyokuji is right, no one has gotten CPS3 emulation working yet, and it will still probably be some time. You’re just as likely to eventually see 3rd Strike emulated on PS2 before the arcade version is emulated. (It’s already running on Chankast no?)
^^ yea it’s runnin on chankast… I just got chankast today with the dc_bios wich is pretty hard too find. only bad part is you need to burn the games too play them on your cpu, at least that’s what I read you had too do.

What does it mean when a server’s ping is >1s? For some reason, I can’t connect to those servers, but I can connect to ones that have regular pings. What’s the deal with that?
The ping takes over 1 second (1000ms) to get there (if it gets there at all) so it’s very much out of your range. Servers normally in your range can sometimes do that if they (or you) are having connection problems.
Go to daroms server. Its texas based I always find a good game of mvc and street fighter[nearly all types].

For ST,there’s no way to adjust the turbo of the game is there?
And for Kaillera,i know if you fullscreen your game it’ll desynch,but can you adjust the screen with the little arrows,not necessarily fullscreening it?
Actually, if you use a Virtual CD driver,(Such as DAEMON tools.)you can play using only the disk image.

You can, but when you do that the game will stop/lag and you risk desyncing it the longer you hold it for. Just maximizing the window works fine, and is great if you have two montiors. Max’d game on one monitor and chat on the other :wgrin:
