Thats actually KiT… And it’s 6 hours away from Memphis! The tournament on the 26th is really for Final Round preperations! It’s not on Major status, but we would like to get as many people as possible! Memphis has done well in traveling for the past 2 years! Hopefully, other scene’s have seen our efforts and support our tournaments!
The main thing is that it’s in conflict with ATL Revival. My guess is that anyone from Bama who travels at all had already pretty much committed to Revival, but I could be dead wrong here.
Looking like I might be able to make ATL Revival. Anyone else going?

Ok I am totally confused in regards to your logic.
Columbus,Warner Robbins,Savannah,Augusta just to name a few places, are all 2-6+ hours away from the city of atlanta where most of the Major & Non-Major Tournaments are hosted. All of these Cities (With the exception of Warner Robbins) host there own ranbats/bi-weeklies/monthlies etc.
That doesn’t constitute a reason/excuse why NOT too attend your home states MAJOR tournament!!!
I’m not sure if there are specific players in memphis traveling outside the individuals I know personally so I am not attacking you or them but as a tournament organizer/player, it’s a bit weird too see someone advertise a tournament,ask other communities to attend said tournament BUT they won’t support there own states tournaments themselves,especially there states MAJOR!!
Also using the tournament as a prelude to Final Round (reason/excuse) when you have a major going on within the same month and another major city has already chosen/posted that date and they are giving spots in respective games to Final Round!!
I mean reality from the outside looking in,the hype on AE and MvC3 is the reason this tournament is going down,not because of final round and not to bring multiple communities together.
No offense bro but I’ve seen the knock on communities year after year,who travels where,when and for what ever reason, I’ve seen bama almost every month despite the fact that Ga is sometime away,Anotak & SSJ George Bush especially,Solidplay etc.
S.Carolina,N.Carolina have been too ga multiple times recently.
No other crews/individuals Outside Memphis Tekken unit… I think it’s a total slap in the face too tournament organizers like Jio & Kodeevu (TN),Raekwon187 (AL),Magnicious,Pokchop & Myself (GA) who have geared there tournaments towards supporting the entire Atlantic South Division and lay claim to traveling, I also think it’s a slap in the face to not take the time to do your homework on other communities,there tournaments/local events before choosing your own dates then going into those communities to advertise your own projects!!
Aces high u should come with me to auburn this friday to go play on our new cabinet, it has CvS2 on it. It has two big, red sticks and lots of room to sit. Also I know how u like them asians and ur crush from my bbq will be there

I have been trying to support every tournament I can in the Atlantic South. I havent made alot but I try to go to most. I have been to Aerial Rave’s…(St. Louis)… Red September’s…(MS)…EVO… KiT…New Olreans…ATL…TX almost everywhere exept for Florida and Bama I think. just havent been able to go for some reason.
To be quite honest, the real reason we are doing this tournament is because there hasnt been a Memphis tournament in a minute and we just really wanted a tourney!
As far as doing ressearch, I actually did. I don’t know why you think its a slap in the face! I mean, didn’t you guys just do a revival a few weeks ago. I think Majin/Mike/Bishop/ and Shin were there. I did not try to make the tournament on the same day, but before you announced the 26th tournament in ATL, I had already put the Venue on lock. I hope you understand this as I am not trying to take away any of your attendee’s. I did see your date but again, sadly, I already paid the Venue and cant really change the date!
So in the end, I hope you didnt take this as a slap in the face homie. I did do research and I am legit wether you like to think so or not! Hopefully I can explain this in person to you at KiT or FR over a drink or something!
