Hey Alabama peeps! well i’ve been checking this thread here and there and thinking of making the trek down to birmignham. I’m located in hunstville and mostly play SF4, MVC2, CVS2, third strike. Is this an open tournament? A friend and I were planning on going to that Memphis tourney but figured this would be a closer drive. We are also probably going to hit some bars around there to check out the UFC fight so what time will SF4 start? ~4pm?

Tourney yesterday was mad fun. Good TVC Zero and Derp, learned alot from you guys. Got a few new stratagies and combos I’m going to work out. Even though the MVC2 tourney turnout wasn’t too big, I got good casuals in. Everyone was awesome, I made a lot of friends. Love all you b-ham cats.

Yea despite the bad turnout for the events, it was a really fun tournament. I’ll play TvC next time, I just didn’t bring enough money to do so for yesterday.

First off, I’d like to thank Allen for installing my new Chimp board in my TE stick. He did an amazingly professional installation and the whole thing works perfectly. If anybody from Bama is looking to have a Chimp board installed on their stick, I highly recommend him as the work he did was excellent. Finally, I can use my stick on PS3! When people bring their PS3s over, I can play on them! I don’t have to borrow sticks/converters at tournaments! I’m like the happiest guy on the planet right now, lol.
Sorry for not stopping by. My flakiness was caused by a combination of my stick not being ready and me assuming that there would be no Blazblue players there after talking to Lamar. That’s my bad, and I apologize.

–I left due to equipment failure/fatigue. Wes agreed to bring a spare breakaway cable but flaked (along with 2.6 trillion other ppl). No cable: no playing. Also it was a gorgeous day and didn’t wanna spend it cramped in a 1br listening to smash guys talk shit about fighting games that are actually good.
The next tourney of yours that I go to will probably need some [more] support for a game that isn’t on Wii.

I apologize for flaking out. I know I said I’d make it but I had something pop up literally that morning, and I wasn’t going to be able to make it down there(considering it’s a 2-3 hour drive). I’ll try to schedule way ahead of time, next time around. I still really wanna get some SF4 in with you Bham cats.
For any of the Huntsville crew (The other three or four of you that lurk here…) I’m gonna be playing the fuck out of SF4 this week to prepare for the GG ranbats this weekend, PM me if you wanna come over some time.

Yea smashers generally bash their own game other than the good fighting games. Unless you think tekken 6 is good, then yea they bash your game.
I think we need a longer time to advertise, and to hype and stuff.
