none of the MVS or AES games had training so if its being emulated for the ps2 then i am guessing its the same.
Wow, youre back in Japan??..My Nigga
It aint gonna kill you to go to vs and practice that way…in AOF3 youll be mastering dial-a-combos mainly and learning how they work…
What do you guys think? Does the dial-a-combo fit the game?
Yes it makes it more “Karate-like” which is the basis of AOF, but what do you guys think? Why did AOF3 not enjoy great success enough to warrant them making a 4th one?
Maybe they should’ve brought back Young Geese as a hidden boss…where he like Deadly Raves Wyler to get his muscle bound fluid…hahaha yeah I know last part there was for kicks…but Wyler made me laugh…hahaha…still does…
Lame boss idea IMO…VERY LAME… and even Sinclair is lame…come on SNK…you are known for your boss ideas…WTF WAS THIS???:annoy:
Maybe AOF3 should get a “second impact/chance?” lol…let’s hope they wont need a “Third Strike”
by the way is was playing the MVS version (europe region on FBAXXXpro 1.17) today and something weird happened at the main tittle screen it said happy birthday… i forgot the name of the person, and after inserting 2 credits and going to the select screen i noticed that the 2 bosses were also selectable maybe it has to do with the happy birthday thing.
so i went to the games dipswitches or arcade settings of the game and i noticed the date 20/5/06 so maybe the special unlocked setting has to do with that persons birthday, so you guys try this out and run your arcades game date to may 20 2006 and see if this happens too.
I wonder if someone will do the impossible… make a combo vid for aof1, 2 and 3
I don’t remember the specifics of it, but there are indeed a few easter eggs in the game related to playing it on characters’ birthdays. I don’t remember what’s supposed to happen, but bosses being playable isn’t completely out of the question I guess. You could try setting it to December 25th (Robert’s birthday) for example, and see what happens…
At the time AOF3 came out in my area the guys played nearly only Alpha 2 like mad and some KOF 96. So, people had some hyped up games, which were also pretty good. They didn’t need to learn a whole new engine and go straight to SF or KOF for their AOF Team needs. This is also, because AOF3 hadn’t any good designs besides Ryo, Robert and Kasumi. The rest was just to … to …, ah forget it … -_- So bad designs for the most part, a new system to learn, other good games around and the few chars in generel killed the game in my opinion.
Which may be why we won’t see an AOF4…sad but true…Robert, Ryo and Kasumi are the only ones that made it out that game alive practically…unless NGBC2 brings back like Rody Birts…
Bc I find Roberts bodyguard with the suit to be just lame…and the pilot guy??? Hahah…reminds me of Boyd from TRF…lol…except the pilot dude aint top tier…bad designs…
yea those desgins are crap.
I mean seriously…the graphics look all nice and pretty…but maybe AOF3 needs an upgrade to appeal to people…after all…remember when Sf3 first came out?? No one warmed up to the new characters…remember that?
Now like 50 years later (lol) everyone has warmed up to them!!!
On a side note the NGBC2 I’d rather them put in Whip then Rody Birts though I like the random characters in a crossover game…
(God I played Agressors of Dark Kombat the other day…God that game is horrible…beynod horrid… :annoy:)
Sure, but Capcom put way more effort in their new designs in providing more background info better promotion and so on and so forth …
Btw, that Jin Fuha was also a pretty stupid kind of Ninja (his looks and strange looking moves for the most part, at least he had some good combos). Exspecially if you think of AOF 2 Eiji Kisaragi.
Yeah I’ve never seen a roid raged Ninja…doesnt sound like a good idea…just like Wyler…they dropped the ball on some parts…they could come back with an upgrade and bring back some faves like Eiji, Takuma, King, Mr. Big…that way people start liking it more…bc now more faces ala Akuma, Chun that are recognizable…
