liang, your trying Ryu out too? Lol…it’s awesome landing his new hp SRK as anti-air, gotta hit it deep. We should spar sometime, I’m also trying to bring my Ryu and Sagat game up to where I feel as confident and comfortable as I am when playing Ken. You on PSN right?
Ryu is more defensive, but has some nice X-up with air tatsu and c.mp traps and stuff, I find playing him has helped my Ken out as well as it teaches me correct zoning and patience. And not just relying on the long string of of setups you do after landing a fierce DP with Ken…
Yes,I have been playing Ryu now since quite a while.I started to main Ken when SSF4 released.
I am currently mainly on PC since my SSF4 PSN disc does freeze all the time.If you are also on PC you can add me there.I am probably getting a 360 too in a few weeks.The new patch has not released yet on PC,but I have seen some of the new combo vids posted of Ryu vers.2012 and I really like that he can juggle now from EX fireball.

Very old video, was casually trying Ryu (you can kinda tell). I thought I had some solid fundamentals, was just lacking everything else. Post whatever critique you want.
we should play again soon man. it’s been a long time. i stopped playing until i read ryu got his 1hit dp back! I’m gonna be back soon. Hope I didn’t miss too much lol.
I started playing again this last week after a few months out so I’m a bit rusty. His 1 hit DP is brilliant, it just sounds and feels sooooo sweet. The reason they didnt give him his fadc on HP DP is probably because of the damage output of HP DP fadc Ultra 1. Ryu’s c.mk feels great again so his poking game has improved alot. I havent been able to incorporate his counter hit ex fireball into sweep etc. I’ve been looking out for some secret buffs but havent found anything as yet. I’m playing him the same as I’ve always done and I’m doing ok. I tried fight requesting you the other night but I think you were already in a lobbie or ranked.
We need more people posting videos if they find anywhere, or remember watching anything, come here and contribute it.
2012 has been out for awhile and this isn’t active enough of videos from the new ryu.
We need more of a community contribution here!
