Watching Evangelion for first time. Pretty fun show so far, 11 episodes in.
Put away any knives or firearms. You’ll either want to shoot yourself or stab Shinji.
It’s certainly worth watching just for knowledge’s sake. But I’ve always thought it was the most overrated Anime “hit” ever.

The whole style of DMC kinda reminded me of Sexy Commando for some reason. I can’t figure out why though lol
Maybe it’s because both go on a short duration compared to other normal series, have a crude and rude artstyle and interestingly enough; Masaru and Krauser II share the same voice actor.
Speaking of Sexy Commando and it’s manga author, I hope someone gets to sub those flash animated DVDs for Kyosuke Usata’s other series, Pyuu to Fuku! Jaguar. If any of you liked Sexy Commando and it’s surrealism, you’ll probably like the Jaguar manga too. IIRC, Onemanga’s got a number of chapters for it.

[details=Spoiler]I wonder why BOTH Alicia and Beth showed up. Shouldn’t Beth be hiding while she controls Alicia? It seems like she would be a prime target for Riful, unless Beth has trained so that she can defend herself while maintaining Alicia. Either that, or Alicia has developed to the point where Riful cannot divert her attention to Beth. The good news of this whole event is that we may see Alicia and Beth in action.
Also, while I can see Riful making it out. I’m guessing Duff is royally screwed. I doubt Riful can escape like she did with Clare and Galatea against Alicia and Beth.
It would be interesting to see what Clare will do when she finally meets Raki and Priscilla again. I could see this fight bringing Raki and Priscilla to the scene to see what’s going on. Then again, Priscilla might stop Raki from leaving if she thinks they’ll just be killed. Priscilla isn’t close to full strength.[/details]
It looks like there will be some more xxxHolic. The latest chapter mentioned another OAD.
Finished watching ep 3 of Second Barrage, goodness that messed up at the end.
I wouldn’t call it clever at this point it’s just straight up annoying. I do not want a repeat of this next week.

[details=Spoiler]Considering this was the championship match I was hoping for a really good match but instead we get sand bagging and fuck ups due to the rain. Due to the gap in points the only thing they could do was introduce some new element then make a landslide come back from there and of course with the new shoes that’s what happened. Instead of getting a nice exchange of tactics all we get is a montage of them making shot after shot for the comeback. It just felt like a mess of an episode among the other things they were doing.
Sela’s dad is presumed dead at this point not sure of the reasons but it’s gotta be work related.
Ending scene with Slash and Dan was pretty awesome and should build up to the next half of the series.[/details]
New shows are starting to roll out now and I got a chance to check some of them out yesterday. Will be watching Cannan later tonight with whatever else I manage to grab.

Absolutely love the art style and direction for this series. The show is a bit of an odd ball and kind of reminiscent to Soul Taker and Tsukihime. I may be stretching it with Tsukihime but it has a bit of a messed up super natural feel to it. If the opening animation is of any indication it should have some good action later on.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni 01:
I really like how the first episode was done and so far I’m more intrigued with this show than Higurashi. It sort of gives me an old school murder mystery vibe and I wouldn’t mind if it goes down that route with a Higurashi feel to it. Otherwise, this is a show I’ll be following until it gets stale but considering the past series that seems doubtful.
Finished S3 of Minami-ke.
I must say, this anime never fails to make to laugh.
Gonna D/L the OAD now but I’m gonna start watching Toradora right now to change things up.

It was kinda uneven… Mostly decent, sometimes kinda bad dialogue. And the premise of these non-athelete girls who have never played baseball before beating a bunch of guys who plays it all the time… Seems kinda unlikely. But I’ll give the series a chance.

This is a keeper imo. I loved the first ep, it’s totally my type of show. I’m calling best of season right now. :lovin:

First time I saw and heard Ragna, it reminded me the sore lack of a Gintama fighting game (since Sugita voices Gintoki as well). Despite it’s not all about fighting, but I digress.

It was weird, but I liked the new mythos to it. I was hoping for it to add more to the season of E7. That new Nirvash turned me off a bit. I was hoping for the one that appeared in ep 50.
The ones I’m actually looking forward to are either just airing or haven’t aired yet.
